Glasner Out

It is bleeding obvious that the working relationship between players and manager has now also broken
down !!! ( as well as the chairman’s)

Perhaps the players are now performing so badly to get OG the tin tack ( it has been done at other clubs) - players stop playing consciously or sub conscious.
Just a thought.

I seem to recall Scott Dann missing an easy header vs Burnley in what turned out to be FdB’s last game (with a few speculating that it was purposeful).

Richards’ very poor free header from a corner was reminiscent of that yesterday.

It was totally shocking. It was not the first time he has lost his bearings/failed to judge the flight of the ball when it is delivered from out wide.
In actual fact our defence has looked far from secure in our last 2 games and it would appear that Lacroix will be missing on Sunday.
Our performances and form have fallen off a cliff to the extent that many of our supporters will not expect us to emerge victorious against bottom of the table Wolves.

We've become a bloated mess. Expensive signings, directionless leadership on and off the pitch, and a disconnect from what made us successful.
If we are relegated along with Burnley and Wolves, we'd be the club that struggles most to return. Wolves will most likely win the championship next season. They have installed a manager with a clear idea and have started to adjust their squad ready for next season. We, on the other hand, have spent money on players who seemingly make no impact.

Lanzo, I think you need to add me to that group. I’ve tried to understand the rationale of keeping Glasner in the job since his apparent’ giving notice ‘ in October. Based upon both personal experience of being in a similar situation myself and trusting that Steve Parish had weighed everything up and decided that was the best way forward.

I’ve also defended Glasner as I thought - and still do - that the club have been ham fisted in their approach to the last couple of transfer windows.

I don’t know about him ‘ losing the dressing room ‘ as such. In the fullness of time that may very well come out.

But what I’m starting to see from Glasner is the type of behaviour that I saw in Eddie Howe a few years ago when Bournemouth were going down. The look of someone that just doesn’t know how to turn things around.

We had as much right to expect our team to win tonight’s game as an Arsenal fan would have last night when they failed to beat Wolves. And we know how that turned out.

Our team simply aren’t performing to an acceptable standard at the moment . That’s partially due to a lack of confidence but in a results business the Manager takes ultimate responsibility.

A win on Sunday and another next Thursday and things will feel a lot better than they do tonight. I realise that’s a very optimistic view and seems somewhat unlikely as I write this.

If that doesn’t happen then I think it has to be accepted that the decision to keep Glasner hasn’t worked out.
I take no pride from it, i have never seen a manager so one dimensional, but other things don't add up to me, i cannot understand why so much money was spent in the last window, and who wanted the signings, surely Glasner had no input, so who, you would have thought maybe one signing and a couple of loans, the Uche transfer was strange, this to me is so un-Parish, i think winning the cup, although it was a great feeling, muddied the water towards Glasner, i have know idea of what is going to happen next. 😢

OG,has gone from hero to zero and must be fired, assuming defeat to bottom Club Wolves, which almost looks inevitable now.
Sincerely hope I am wrong.

Agree about the strange transfer policy.
Obviously it will partly depend on the new manager and style employed, but I could see Nketiah,, Franca and one of Pino or Johnson departing in the summer and the options on Guessand and Uche not being exercised.
It's a pretty awful transfer record in terms of attacking signings.

I have just received a message from someone abroad who has no attachment to our club.
He is somewhat perplexed as to why supporters are 'In a lather' about the manager and current situation.
He asserted that our club are 8 pts clear of the relegation zone and are due to play rock-bottom Wolves at Home.He is of the opinion that a further 6 pts should secure survival.
He also added that a draw last night leaves us favourites to progress into the next round of the Europa League.Clearly in his eyes all is 'Rosy in the garden' and apocalyptic mindsets are unjustified. I have yet to provide a response.

With so many similarities in outlook the two of you must get on really well. Cassandra v Pollyanna.

He hasn't been watching us play. How anyone can think last night's performance was acceptable is beyond me. Think of the chances and Mostar should have won. If they weren't basically crap.

In my earlier post I said that if we beat Wolves and Mostar then everything starts to look a lot better - stating the obvious I know. And from the outside looking in that scenario looks eminently possible.

But if your contact had been closely following our recent performances then he may take a less optimistic view.

Last nights game highlighted where it’s all started to go wrong. We don’t win games in which we have the majority of possession. The players look anxious and that’s leading to unforced errors - their goal being a prime example. With LaCroix now injured we’re running out of players in central defence. That should have been addressed in January. Instead £35m was spent on a player that has so far made zero impact .

My only remaining sympathy with Glasner is around the transfer windows - I find it hard to believe that he would have endorsed some or all of the signings that have been made.

A lot of money has been spent on the likes of Nketiah, Pino and now Johnson . None of them look value for money. And whatever was spent on Franca will need writing off as well.

The manager always ultimately carries the can at times like this and Glasner hasn’t done himself any favours with his conduct.

But I see it as a collective- Parish, Glasner and the players are all responsible for the current situation.

The gentleman in question has a passion for Rugby rather than football and has merely perused the stats before sending me his message. Us suffering supporters have a totally different perspective based on a holistic view of our current situation.

Richards’ very poor free header from a corner was reminiscent of that yesterday.

the ball dips just as richards goes to head it due to the wind meaning he doesn't get a good connection. Wharton had to reset the ball a few times for that corner due to the wind.

Quite an accusation (and far fetched) to say a player missed on purpose especially as richards has missed a few before when we were doing well too.

If you make the assumption that one of the bottom 3 will, as seems to be the norm, get out of trouble and on current form that is likely to be West Ham, this makes Forest the low benchmark. Then make the reasonable assumption that all the teams below us will average 1 point a game for the last 12 games, that puts Forest on 39 points, which by my reckoning means we will need 39/40 points to stay up.

We are currently on 32 so two wins two draws should do it.

If we lose to Wolves where does everyone think these points are going to come from?
