Glasner Out

There's a lot of 'if we lose...' type of posts on here at the moment, which is understandable.

Out of interest, for those who want Glasner gone, does your view change if we win tonight and Sunday?

If we were to win tonight, and on Sunday, I'd start clinging to the hope that Glasner may come good again. I'd also be inclined to believe it is preferable for the business if Glasner sees out his contract to the end of the season and we can start afresh this summer, even if it is quite a sh!tty paling out of this season.

If we do not win both however, again I'd see no real evidence for not sacking him. We've been very poor for some time now, there's no real evidence of anything changing and his already determined future (and therefore presence) is a highly likely cause of many issues.

That’s the issue.

I would and have always forgiven Palace teams for being a bit sh!t, it almost doesn’t even feature in my thinking as to whether they are or not.

It’s the lack of commitment which bothers me. There’s a few out there however many more who don’t even look present whilst on the pitch.

That’s what p!sses me off and that’s where I identify the manager as the cause, especially when he fails to find a solution.
I appreciate that players need leadership, however I also feel that players shouldn't get a free pass from having a lack of commitment on the pitch. There's a lot of hypocrisy in piling on the manager for wanting away from the club and not giving the same to the players who clearly aren't playing for the badge.

Spot on. Everywhere you look, there's a lack of commitment. Starting at the tippy-top, and all the way down to the sharp-end on the pitch

I made this very point a few weeks ago.
Players are really stupid. OG will not want a relegation on his CV, but ultimately he is leaving. What do the players expect will happen to them? They won’t all get sold and will have to play in the Championship. I would also expect a relegation cause in their contracts to reduce their wages.

With regard to the next 2 games, I would go as far as seeing how the team performs tonight. If the players do not perform, and are clearly not playing for OG I would get rid straight away.
Wolves is now such a pivotal game, I do not believe we can wait to make that decision if the players heads are not in it.
If they do show fight and spirit then irrelevant of the result I would give OG at least one more game.

Oh I agree however I'd suggest the manager is head of any proverbial snake.

If you look pre-Glasner, how many were 'playing for the badge'? Glasner came in and turned everything around. If he is off now however, we may well be seeing the reverse effect.

Has to go Parish..he's lost the players, so fcuking obvious
I usually think it's an easy cliche to say the 'manager has lost the players ' after a string of poor performances.
In this case I don't think it is.
The body language during and after the game say it all.
That display was shocking, like a bunch of strangers who hadn't even had a training session together.
If we don't win on Sunday I think Parish will have a decision to make.

Parish needs to grow a pair tonight, not after Sunday. Get Paddy in for Wolves

Really, about what, Jeeez

“It’s not his fault we had lots of injuries. We’ll be fine once Sarr and Munoz are back”

“The board should have invested money in the squad”

“Too many fixtures. He hasn’t had time to prepare for games”.

All the excuses have been shown to be just that. The truth is Glasner has to go and go now. He should have gone weeks ago. The situation is now irretrievable. If he stays we may not win again this season.

Parish will keep him as long as he gets draws to survive Prem

f*** Conf league we are so mediocre u18 could have ran to them today & got goals

I can't remember the last time I was this anxious about the continued presence of a manager.

Glasner's refusal to do the decent thing and f*ck off represents, in my view, a very real existential threat to the club.

Parish must pull the plug before it's too late.
