Restore Britain.

The mainstream left are so so desperate.

But it's inevitable.

It'll shake out, however it goes.....but until then it'll be fun.

Its going to be interesting. The actual announcement took me back to the day of the Brexit 'victory' and contrasting my attitude. At the time I made the rather naive, and that is 100% on me as I should have known better, that the decision had been made and that HMG would basically do its best to make it the success it should, and still, can be. Essentially thought the war was over. But with this, it's a sense of the war, potentially literally, just beginning and with some very dark times ahead. And at complete peace with that because losing is just not an option. Or rather losing means potentially the literal extinction of what I believe it means to be British, and on a wider level, European. Because otherwise all that awaits is nations just becoming zones of economic interest whilst a managerial dictatorship quite literally tell you have to live and think.

A tad dramatic? No. Just how I see it.

Lots of twists and turns to come, and always the potential of complete and total defeat but in that defeat, the literal destruction of any notion of what it means to be British so genuninely don't see what those who will oppose us actually get to win? Because if things carry on as they are, then there is only a society breaking down even more. Where is the win for the Left? Beyond feeding their addiction to virtue signalling which in turn will trigger a society that will destroy them.

Hardly. Only when measured by a highly dubious, extremely unrepresentative, snap poll. I bet many people in the country have not even head of Lowe and when they do won’t like his politics. They are very unlikely to steal votes from anyone on the left or in the middle. They will only split the hard right, primarily those currently in the Reform camp. They haven’t even got an organisation outside of Great Yarmouth and Musk throwing money at a far right party in the UK isn’t going to work.

There isn’t a “media blackout”. It’s just not very interesting, to anyone other than a small minority.

I'm getting a sense of deja vu.
That same smug complacency we heard in the run-up to the Brexit referendum from those who assumed Remain would walk it.

There you go with your hard right again .
Is there a party on the right who you feel are not hard right? Tories more left than even centre so where is the right but not far right opposition. It’s your type of language which got us the s*** show we have now !

It’s just a term to put distance between those like me who regard themselves as centre right and those with little or no social responsibility at all. That you think the Tories are more left than centre just adds weight to the need to do that. Those on the hard right rarely even see themselves there, thinking they are actually in the centre. It’s your type of attitude which threatens the kind of s*** show we would have should the electorate, again, fall for Farage promises.

How the establishment, who were very anti Brexit in general, reacted to Brexit was a wake up call for me as well.

I had always assumed that what people voted for would be implemented, yet watching it unfold amid the manipulations and changes in direction into policies that were the opposite of what Brexit intended (mass immigration) really altered any remaining trust I had for the ruling establishment.

It destroyed the Conservatives (who still struggle with the accountability) and has altered the direction of British politics.

In my experience, you are the most deluded or dishonest person who has ever written here. Others can make their own minds up as to which of the two it is.

You thinking your Liberal Democrat social policies qualifies you as 'Centre Right', is like a Communist thinking that they belong in Restore.

The only prediction I've ever seen him get right I think, is that Biden would resign.

Other than that he gets predictions wrong time and time again, but just never refers back or admits to them, instead concocting either 'jam tomorrow' or blaming something else if pursued about it.

If he makes a prediction you can usually be assured the opposite happens.

Yes, but replace "or" with " and"

So what’s your answer about a right wing party who isn’t hard right. People have been killed and jailed for using the wrong ‘term’ ! As for accusing me of being socially irresponsible I think you need to look to the current hmg for that. There are places in the uk where bin men and plod avoid. Mainly the Muslim enclaves which you and your attitude have enabled to grow. Also brain washing your family is a little irresponsible don’t you agree !

It was the second referendum campaign that did it for me. Even now, struggle to get my head around how on earth anybody, in their right mind, ever thought any good would come from it? Although, and I concede this grudgingly, suspect that a lot of the voices pushing it from within Labour and especially our current farce of a PM who led the charge to make it official Labour policy, did so knowing it was going to cost Labour big time and force Corbyn out but I have bored long and hard on that subject in the past.

But then the farce of the Johnson regime, and what the Tories did next, just destroyed what little faith I had in the system as it was.

Which is why this Restore Britain news has given me so much joy. Actually have skin in the game once again, and can vote and promote something that might actually do what it says on the tin.

Of course I need to temper this with the reality that everything is going to be thrown at it but that is fine but I genuinely see this as the last chance to actually try and save something from the sorry mess that Britain has come, at least via the ballot box.
