I'm rooting for Macclesfield. Hope they edge it over Brentford so we won't carry the stigma of that terrible day with us for ever.

They aren't very good so it's pretty doubtful.

Brentford will win four or five to zero which will show just how bad we were and sadly have continued to be. I’m not happy this weekend even more that we aren’t playing to fight for our holding of the cup :-(

So it’s 0-0 at half time. Macclesfield have had some chances, and have limited Brentford to very little.
I think the difference is Macclesfield will struggle to score set piece goals against this Brentford team, so not sure how they will score.

It’s still on that we could get out of jail for the worst fa cup record.

Final score 0-1
Brentford won with an own goal in a game lacking any real chances.
I am not excusing the Palace debacle but I now think that the pitch is a bigger leveller than we thought.

I also think that perhaps the pitch is pretty narrow. It didn't look like our formation suited it. Another time we should have played with a different formation.
