I’m split, and haven’t voted.

As time goes on I’m getting more and more of the opinion that Thomas Frank is best suited. He would do a great job, I’m sure. Most of that is based on what he’s done at Brentford, getting them up to the Prem and then regularly competitive ever since. Spurs is mostly an asterisk to every manager and I wouldn’t take too much off of him for that job going south. I also think it looks increasingly likely that it will be him. Especially after today.

…I’m also a huge fan of Martinez and have been for a long time. Him being linked to us, and at the beginning even being favourite, excited me.

He has done a great job in every role he’s had, and I like his style of play as well. He’s worked with thin squads before and he’s worked with a variety of different profiles of player and been able to improve the majority of them.

Won the cup with Wigan, produced the best football Everton have seen before or since, got Belgium up to number one world ranking, as well as third place in the World Cup, and broke their wins record.
So why would he come to Palace? Don't get me wrong: it would be brilliant if he did. But having managed Belgium he could probably land a bigger job.

Frank would work well, I think.

And I hope Glasner goes to Spurs. That'll be
good for his ego.

Let’s not forget, Steve knew this was coming back in October. Are we really believing he hasn’t had conversations with potential candidates in November, December and January? That this new manager hasn’t had an input on playing acquisitions? That’s why I can’t imagine it’s Frank or Dyche - they’ve only just become available. Bordales for me.

I agree. Our next manager must currently be in a role which he wants to see out until the end of the season.
This is probably why SP hasn’t pulled the trigger on Glasner when he should have done so - as he senses the current manager is preferable to no manager/interim manager (given the points cushion).
It’s a risky strategy though as I just can’t see us progressing far in Europa Conference League as things stand AND where are the points going to come from in the League?

Anyway I’m consoling myself with the notion that this theory could mean that Iraola or McKenna will be next through the door - I’d be happy with either.

I think appointing Dyche would virtually guarantee we stay up ..
Wasn't looking a guarantee for Forest was it? I dont agree with Marinakis for pulling the trigger but lets not kid ourselves. Theres a reason he was sacked. Results there have not been anywhere near good enough since he took over

But, Forest have a poor squad, Dyche only spent 3m a some short term loans.

I want a manager who doesn’t use cliches in post match interviews e.g ‘ the mentality was/wasn't right’, ‘game management,’ ‘ we need to be more clinical,’ ‘he’ll be disappointed with that.’
Add a few of your own.
