Glasner Out

Completely agree with all of this.

He hasn't shown the tempremant or tactical nouse needed for this position, he's out of his depth emotionally and skillfully.

Why we haven't sacked him this morning is beyond me (admittedly, I don't know what's going on behind closed doors).

He's lost the board, team and fans.
Don't think he has the mindset to save us from Relegation as he simply does not care.

That's what makes me really wonder what Henderson meant when he said "behind closed doors we all know the reason why [it's all gone to s***], but that's not to be talked about outside"

I suspect we have a (hopefully really good) replacement manager and team - but who can only join in the summer.

They possibly consulted on the winter signings (why ask OG?).

Commerce dictates that OG and his people have to work out their contracts.

Down side - we get demob-happy coaches and players going through the motions.

Bigger down side - we sacrifice our only likely entry into Europe. That hurts.

But we will survive. Just. And in the summer we will actually reset with a squad more designed for OG's successor.

That sounds as though you have more insight than I do silver and I sincerely hope so as it sounds a reasonable solution.

I'm not overly confident on survival though and am braced for the sh!tsh0w to continue.

Glasner blaming the players is the last straw. His tactics don't work any more. We need more players in midfield, so 4-4-2 makes more sense. I thought JSL was excellent last night, but Sarr, Johnson or Nketiah need to play up front with him. My team would be:

Henderson
Richards
 Rhiad
Lacroix (Captain)
Mitchell
Sarr
Wharton
Hughes
Guessand
Strand Larson
Johnson
Bold. No Munoz?

I hope you're right regarding the new manager. But I have my doubts. I can see us faffing around until the middle of the summer. Or we recruit someone who has recently lost their job and that'll tell us they had no input on our recent recruitment. It feels all like a bit of a mess.

If we actually had someone already lined up I'm pretty sure it would have been leaked.

My bet is we'll end up with Frank and it'll be pretty awful. Ah positive times 😂

I think he'll do well for us in the Championship.

The only reason I can fathom is that we have a manager lined up and can't take over until the summer.
Then get rid of OG and put Paddy in charge til then.
Although forever grateful for our trophies the majority of fans don't want him now.
The players MUST be psychologically affected by him wanting to leave.
OG seems to only have one way of playing and resorts to throwing everyone on the pitch with the hope of confusing the opposition (let alone our players) when losing. The atmosphere is flat and nowhere near it was...there's no " we've got super Ollie Glasner", "Oliver Glasner's red blue army" anymore and we've lost "Eze's on fire", "When Marc went up" and even "boom boom boom" (I can cope with that). A lot of this situation we're in I put down to Parish and co for not backing OG earlier but now Parish has to grow a pair and do the right thing today. It has become way too toxic from a fan's point, so can't be good inside the club!

I think a gamble was taken on not investing in the squad, Glasner doing at least a decent job this season and sorting things out in the summer.

That has not happened, things have gone drastically wrong, the club top to terraces is toxic atm and Glasner's departure seems the obvious solution to me.

don't forget the Palace players agents who will all be piling in now.

If I were Steve (the other Steve that is!) I would back Glasner to get us into the Conference last 16 and a result against Wolves ..... provided the club has reasonable intel from the dressing room that the players are not working against him and are properly committed, even though there night be seeds of doubt creeping in.

If we have bad results before the break, then the board will have to weigh the risks of loosing the fan base completely and come to realize that selling Guehi for 16M net was an investment to secure championship status, depending on the teams below us at that stage! If we are in a real relegation battle after the Leeds game, the board will move on Glasner during the break and bring in Sean Dyche 🙁
