Burnley Predictions.

Ignoring the rest of your comment Lanzo, I am very much holding out for this!

COYP!!!!!!!!
Why would you ignore the rest of my comments, they are sensible comments on how a manager sets up his team, very strange of you.

Burnley have done almost exactly the same as they did last time they got promoted: they compete, they play some nice bits of football, they lose. There are no easy games in the PL, but I think we'll win this 2-0. I'm going to go for Wharton to break his duck and JSL to score one off his ar$e, or something.

Guessand has added something we've missed since Eze left, which is a player who can dribble past defenders, while JSL looks like a player who has had a weight lifted off his shoulders. Despite all the press about what terrible business the club did in the transfer window, I would say it has actually added an injection of positivity. We've signed players who have a point to prove and who seem keen to throw themselves into the club's culture. It's a similar story at West Ham who have taken off since bringing in a couple of new faces.

It's the hope that gets ya!

I want to believe with Munoz back now, JSL apparantly not being a total donkey that some predicted, Sarr back and scoring that this should be a chance to show why we're rarely in a relegation tussle and a chance to put on a confident, dominant performance with a 2-0 win which somewhat flatters Burnley.

Of course however this is Palace so I'll chuckle a black comedy laugh when Burnley do us 0-4.

For a long time we've tended not to be at our best against teams we can dominate; hopefully the two new faces in the fron tline can show that shortcoming has been addressed. Burnley will surely be looking for a clean sheet but if we can just score early we should be able to win by a two, maybe even three goal margin.

I'm not convinced 40pts will be enough for survival this season. Wasn't it Spammers who went down with 41 or 42 one season.

Looking at those below us in 14th to 18th, West Ham are in form and quite capable of getting at least 18 pts. Out of the remaining 13 games. Forest look to be the most likely to drop if West Ham overtake them. Leeds have become strong at home. Spurs are by no means out of the woods, though and we saw yesterday just how poor the other team has become. BUT all of them apart from West Ham are averaging over a point a game (yes un Forest's case just).

I'll fee better with at least another 10 pts in the board so 6 in our next 2 games would be mistake welcome.
I think it was Blackpool went down with over forty points.
