Ah Willo, I've spotted the hidden message, in anagrammatic form: I USED PROPER SOAP. Clever, but not quite on topic. 😉My comment was not based on anything I perused apropos the future of Kamada.

During the summer we could easily lose
Kamada - confirmed at this point
Lerma - out of contract
Wharton - no doubt we will see numerous bids
Yes exactly i would swap Kamada for Connor Gallagher in less than a heart beat,Two players that are as opposite as it can be.We can't continue to carry central midfielders who don't contribute goal wise.
Wharton
Hughes
Kamada
Lerma
None of them have any PL goals this season (albeit Lerma has played some games at the back)
Add long term absentee Doucoure to that list, who has never scored for Palace in any competition.

Not sure Doucoure will recover either.
We need to find players who can contribute from centre midfield with goals and assists.

With 3 central defenders there should be lots of opportunities for our midfielders to pick up the ball on the edge of the opposition box for shots and we have all seen them take up those positions. The big problem is that none of them get close to the target. We probably need to change the way we play for that to happen. We play with 2 DMs, so only really expecting them to score 1 or 2 a season (granted thats more than they currently do).
Bang on. People expecting goals from those two holding mids are misunderstanding our patterns of attack and how we're instructed to score goals. We probably need to change the way we play for that to happen. Instruction or not the stats aren't impressive.Bang on. People expecting goals from those two holding mids are misunderstanding our patterns of attack and how we're instructed to score goals.

It is a sad day for football if our midfielders are instructed not to try and score. I’m not sure I fully get your point here. Are they told to pass out to the wings when they have an open shot on the edge of the box?Bang on. I’m sorry but Kamada and Hughes have been key to the system Glasner plays. When you only have 2 DMs in midfield often up against 3 Kamada’s positional awareness and Hughes tackling are vital and allow Wharton to play. If you watch Kamada he is always looking to see where the opposition runners are and how best to position himself to block passes giving Wharton time to tackle, win the ball, and play telling pass. He’s not built to tackle but this aspect of his game has improved. He’s also technically good on the ball. When Hughes plays in his place we rely on the fact he is a busy player who will chase the ball and harry opponents to win the ball, more often than not making a simple pass to Wharton or our attackers. No big loss if you're looking to improve the first team, him and Hughes would be the first players id be looking to replace.
Was only because we were so desperate for creativity after losing eze, that we looked to kamada for something to happen. I doubt there will be any other interest from other prem clubs.
Well I guess it's in the same way a CB's main role in the team is not to score goals. It's to prevent them. The double CMs' role in this team is to simply connect the back three to the attacking five, while offering a degree of protection too. That's why you'll never see them run beyond, as some CMs do. Of course I'm not saying they'll never be in a position where they couldn't take a shot on goal...but we saw in the last game Glasner blow up at Hughes for trying to. It's simply not what he wants from them. An awful lot of emphasis in this system is put on that front five to score and create...trouble lately has been that too many of them have been bang out of form (Mateta / Pino / Johnson etc).It is a sad day for football if our midfielders are instructed not to try and score. I’m not sure I fully get your point here. Are they told to pass out to the wings when they have an open shot on the edge of the box?
As the stats state, the record for both assists and goals is poor. So their passing to strikers is obviously poor as well, which kind of begs the question why don’t we just play with 5 centre backs and 5 forwards.
