Brighton vs. Crystal Palace match thread

I'm sitting, no I'm bouncing here in Campello with my City friends as well as a Palace fan who turned up. Random. Great goal, made by Guessand, think he is going to be a good player for us.

Pictures at the end of Deano kissing the badge in front of the 22 of their fans who couldn't get out of the stadium in time was awesome, a point made by the City lads.

Personally, Lacroix is my MOM.

If this doesn't set us up for Burnley & Wolves, nothing will. 3 points I didn't expect us to get tbf, but, accepted gleefully.
Enjoy your beer and pointing out where Citeh are going wrong.

Neither side created much at all, very stodgy. It had nil nil written all over it until the Brighton centre backs got their wires totally and inexplicably crossed for our goal, leaving Sarr oceans to run into. Any fool could have played him in once it opened up, but it's great that it fell to Guessand and that he executed it correctly. Hopefully he's now feeling happy and confident. His celebrations at the end suggest so.

Brilliant to see Henderson, Lerma, and La Croix so into it. Larsen also seemed up for it in terms of fight. We need focussed, committed men as much as we need good players. Hopefully today kick starts this group of players in that respect. The window is closed, no more changes, next season will take care of itself. This group can focus on doing enough in the league without too much pressure, and going balls out to win a trophy in Europe. Imagine what a difference it will make to our summer plans if the club is in the Europa League next year...

Lemma massive,
Strand Larsen put himself about all day,
Guessand did well and looked useful,
Kamada looked well up for it.
A great grinding win and a clean sheet. Great result.
Very pleased OG played Lerma in the back three. Experienced player and physically strong. Good in the air. It would have been asking a lot of Riad to slot into the back three when he has hardly played and has very little Premier League experience

Very important win and well deserved. Brighton were poor and should be worried about teams below them flying past. Hopefully, put us in good stead to beat Burnley and Wolves which would make us virtually safe. We can then go all out for the conf league.

I thought Guessand looks class but maybe needs a bit more match fitness. I liked JSL who looked useful (for a tough first game) and was still going strong at the end. Lerma MOM for me but most did at least well.

Living in Sussex makes this a great day for me. Gotta go, lots of neighbours and friends to text!

Great away win, that came entirely down to having squad depth, well done to the club for spending in january, wish we had this depth from August, but it is what it is

Obviously in retrospect this was a good game for us - New signings looking to make a mark, players coming back and Brighton looked strangely toothless. Maybe we're more used to looking down the table than they've been recently.

I agree that Lerma was man of the match.
What I liked about Strand Larson was the way he chased balls from their defenders towards their goalie. Reminded me of when Andy Johnson used to do that.
A very good all round team performance and a great goal from Sarr.
