Brighton Predictions.

I love the blind optimism before a match. The build-up, the skewed stats, (cherry-picked to give a positive vibe.) 😀 I think I've grown out of the Brighton rivalry, as it doesn't seem to matter to todays players or fans.
I know Palace have JSL, essentially a complete unknown, BUT I just can't see Palace scoring from open play. To get Palace on the score-sheet, it'll have to be penalties, own-goals or something special to happen on the day.
Fingers crossed Palace have done some shooting practice, but Palace might lose 1-0.

Any optimism has been taken from me over the past few months, 🙁

We missed the creativity of Wharton against Forest so with him back I am a little more optimistic.
Unfortunately I suspect the manager will persevere with Pino who needs to have a rest and learn how to make a pass and not overhit his crosses. At least the bench will have more variety.

A draw would be a respectable result.
6 points from Wolves and Burnley and things suddenly are looking a lot better.

I don’t know we missed Wharton’s creativity as he hasn’t offered much. Isn’t it only two assists and no goals this season? To be honest not really good enough from somebody with his ability

Wharton's gifts are vision, anticipation and touch. He sees everything around him, knows how to play his teammates open, and he delivers perfectly weighted passes to give them opportunities to score or to continue aggressive attacks.

His teammates flub the shots he's created for them, and he himself lacks the power to score goals from his position. He is a truly gifted player, but his value lies in his ability to create chances for others, not to score directly.

I don’t dispute his talents or gifts. Just saying he hasn’t done much with them this season. It’s been noticeable in the last few games that his passing has actually been pretty poor. Mind you so has everyone else’s

Snap.

It would have to be a dramatic change from what I’ve witnessed the last couple of months for us to get anything. I hold little expectation of that occurring.
