Dwight McNeil

Dwight McNeil is basically a left-winger but the 'Glasner Way' does not include this position.
I don't view McNeil as a left wing-back.
Glasner will try him as RWB as he has done with the very left footed Devenny and Sosa!
Clearly McNeil doesn't suit the Glasner system, but personally I would be happy with him as he possess a skillset absent from the rest of the squad.
He is adept at free kicks and corners whipping the ball in at pace.
He doesn't have to beat a man to cross a ball and has the quality to bend the ball around opposition defenders to find a teammate.

Bend it like McNeil.

20m deal agreed awaiting medical again what are we doing complete last minute panic.

I do think hes alright player but not sure worth 20m.

other issue is again we are not going for players to fix the areas we need them

Injury prone and ten million above his value. Yep we have lost all sense of reality.

But as always, hope it all falls into place. Score the winner against Brighton and it’ll all make sense!!!!!

Wingers who have a reputation for being reliable crossers of the ball. A big number nine irrespective of what happens with JPM. I cannot believe these signings, including two new club record fees, would be sanctioned without some sort of decision on who the new manager will be.

It does raise the question of how far, if at all, these signings give us a clue on the identity of Glasner's successor. Seemingly someone who plays with wingers rather than wing backs, and goes back to front a little quicker. That does not sound like Iraola to me. It does sound more like Dyche or Frank.

Maybe the new manager has a preference for a totally different system with wingers and a back four. 😛
Surely we are going to switch to 442. Otherwise these signings make zero sense. Everybody ignoring the fact we have the best part of £30 million tied up in Eddie. We now have 4 fit centre backs, Munoz and Clyne right back, Mitchell and Sosa at left back. About 18 wingers, 16 strikers, solid midfield of Wharton, hughes, Kamada, lerma and praise lord, if Doucoure gets back to something near his old self. Not bad but not 3-4-3

I guess they hope he can put some decent crosses in for Larsen. His best season was supplying assists for Chris Wood at Burnley.
He certainly won't help unlock low blocks by going past people

Don’t know much about him other than watching him score twice against us last season away at Goodison. Tbf this window we’ve gained SL, Guessand and McNeil & still have Mateta for now. We are better off than we were before.
Theres no way JPM stays.... Fortunately. Ive had enough of him big time.
