Winter Transfer Window 2026

CB from Brugge, Pinnock, Kilman, Kluivert (Lyon Defender)....surely Parish would have had a target or 2 in mind and gone for them?! Seems like we've gone rougue (or the media have)!

If Brugge end up accepting that offer it will mean we've spent £120m this window which is insane. More than out previous eight windows combined (at a guess anyway).

I'm not sure I trust this lump Hobbs' ability. Anybody is capable of throwing money at a window.

Re your last paragraph, I was thinking exactly the same thing.
In the summer we looked an attractive option too.
Parish himself mentioned one player we approached in the spring who seemed unsure. However, Parish added that after the cup win that same player approached Palace to revisit the deal.
Now, in the last few days of the January window we again look to be in chaos mode.
I read somewhere that as it is a new year the financial rules reset. I have no idea if this is right and seem to remember these things run on a three year cycle. Could be though our financial constraints have eased under the rules

Agent pitches; black flag ops by the club to reduce the price for the actual intended one; or simply writers using software to group "available" players and then linking to those clubs who appear to need gaps filled... but with no actual contact between player and club (i.e. made up).

My sources are telling me that Palace and Spurs are in discussions to swap Connor Gallagher with Brennan Johnson. Good news if true. Apparently Thomas Frank is thinking ahead in case he gets sacked by Spurs and ends up as the new Palace manager. 😉
