Brighton Predictions.

Results good from our perspective this weekend and our new signings will have a few days to get used to our system before the game next Sunday .

9 points above West Ham and better goal difference is a good cushion, but we should be looking to win games rather than relying on other teams in trouble to lose.

Only 2 points behind Brighton and a win there next Sunday would be huge for our survival hopes.

Palace to win,unexpectedly,2-1.

Our potential line-up

Henderson
Munoz
Richards
Lacroix
Lerma
Mitchell
 Wharton
Kamada
Sarr
Larsen
Pino/Guessand/ Johnson

This looks a strong team with better bench options.
We should surely be a lot more competitive than in recent months.

JPM’s transfer to Milan collapses as the funds have been strangely misplaced into the bank account of a Sicilian building firm who mysteriously won contact work on the Winter Olympics. He comes back, bangs in a hat trick to win the game then climbs up to the directors box, Pat Cash at Wimbledon style and gives Steve Parish a huge embrace while Glasner breaks down in floods of tears screaming “I DO care, I really DO”

You forgot, Mateta kisses the badge whilst kicking the corner flag which accidentally comes loose and harpoons Dunk.

This should definitely not be the team.

Riad did nothing wrong to lose his place - he was solid enough and should retain his spot in the back 3.
Wharton and Hughes is our best midfield pairing and should be reinstated and maintained.
Larsen doesn't even play for us yet.

Riad was out of position and out muscled a lot. They targeted him and he lost his duels. Not surprisingly for a player back from 18 months out with hardly any premier Legaue experience he looked out of his depth. Right now Lerma has to play in the back three. He is by far the best option there

Disagree. Riad was fine. Aside from the goal, Forest barely had a sniff all game. Did Henderson even have a save to make?

Don't get me wrong, Lerma is a solid option there. But the way to get Riad back up at his best is to play him.

If we were well clear of the relegation fight and in ok form I’d agree with you. We simply can’t afford to take time for players to get back up to speed. We need results right now. That means playing players who we can trust to cope with the Premier League

Yeah, I agree with that. I guess where we differ is I actually thought Riad looked okay today. But respect your opinion to the contrary. I'd be comfortable either way...Lerma or Riad. Playing Riad just gives us Lerma as an extra midfield option to sure things up if needed.

Fair enough. I think there is a player in Riad for sure. Hope we can see him develop and establish himself. Hopefully we can pick up the points for safety soon and give him a run of games

I like having a left footed player on the left of the back 3.
It provides a nice balance and Riad looks comfortable in possession.
Guehi is a tall order to follow with his consistent excellence, his recovery pace and reading of the game.
The opposition rarely got in behind him and it was noteworthy today that Forest were able to exploit that space.
This is not so much a criticism of Riad as an observation .
It was his first proper game back, and there aren't too many Guehi's around.

I thought Riad did OK. He was perhaps a little reluctant to bring the ball out of defence and he’s got a bit to go fitness wise. He will get better with more game time. Until he does he has Mitchell for support on the left side.
