Nottingham Forest vs. Crystal Palace match thread

We topped the chart with passes , pass backs , missed passes - all that possession & we ask Hughes to envisage he’s at Cardiff Arms Park 🤣

No tempo, can’t even make a simple 5 yard pass when in a good position and not under any pressure. Need a new manager NOW and kick a few backsides. Does Parish think Glasner is going to change his mind and say okay I will stay and everything will be good again.

Hard to break down a team with 10 men, and we made it look very hard.
Pino's passing accuracy has to improve. Johnson lacks aggression. Uche is a lumbering lump.

Hughes was our best player, although why he is shooting from 30 yards only he knows. He can't score from 3.
Hopefully the return of Wharton and Kamada along with Guessand will liven things up and Larsen will be better than Matata has been for most of the season.

Pino and Johnson were awful. Uche got to show why he isn't playing. We went to a back four and looked vulnerable and clueless.

Our recruitment team have been sh*t since Dougie left and it's catching up with us.

We have 24 hours to sign a new centre back to replace Guehi and to sign JP's replacement.
No we didn't, Lerma, Richards, Lacroix, played 3 at the back whole match.

My goodness, how unenjoyable that was. Holding on for a point against 10 men. Creatively Pino and Johnson are awful, one can't pass to his own player and the other can't find space against 10 men. We're about to spunk the best part of 50m on a striker whose all round game is questioned and we won't be providing him with any service. How utterly depressing and what a mess we've made for ourselves.

But respect the point 😉

I uttered before the game that I was would be content with a point.
In the second half we moved the ball far too slowly, our distribution from wide areas was pitiful and the substitute goalkeeper never had a shot to save.
When one considers the 'Bigger picture' in terms of the table, it was a useful point.

Pino, Johnson and Nketiah, the last of which must be thanking God that he is injured (if he is ). £85m between them and I would send them all back for a refund for lack of fitness for purpose and merchantable quality.
Whoever does our shopping should be sacked.
And now and other £40m for a similar player. I despair.
Keep reading on here about the Larsen move . Is that now happening?

Whatever spin you want to put on this today the sad fact is that NF are struggling this season and we could not take advantage of them when they went down to 10. Frankly we were just not good enough and when you look at our options from the bench you understand why. Let’s hope we have so good news before the window closes tomorrow. I’m afraid it’s squeaky bum time!
That's not strictly true.
Since Dean Syche took over their form would have them in a Europa League spot, they just had a poor start to the season.
He's very difficult to beat and Glasner is useless against a low block.

This does show all the people that keep praising our recruitment have forgotten about all the duds and only remember the odd gem

Glasner should be sacked but Parish unwilling to have to pay him off. Another price we are paying for mis-management by the board. Any decent manager would have motivated the players at half time but they had no clue and with no shots on target against 10 men was appalling.

Pino, Munoz, Johnson and Lacroix had shocking games. No one able to hold or bring the ball forward.

If we can't score against 10 what are our chances against the 11 of Brighton?

And now it seems we are 'investing' in a poor Norwegian forward to replace Mateta at great cost.

After the glory of last season we are all staggering around aghast at our downfall.

Without Wharton we created nothing. Hughes huffed and puffed, Johnson and Lerma were ineffective, and Pino was frankly awful. Our full backs struggled to get crosses in and Sarr got no service. A set piece was probably the only way we were going to score and we’re pretty poor at those
