One bright note from yesterday was Riad
Looked sharp, up for it and solid when he came on
Marc's replacement there?
Still have good vibes about Jaydee, raw but a good future.
Need to be selling JP and looking at a striker not CBs
Uche always looks lively and should be kept

Agree on Riad, very impressive cameo performance.
My take is if he hadn’t got injured then Guehi would have been sold sooner. It was unfortunate and that is why we hung on. He is a left sided cb and towards the early parts of this season I saw a parish interview where he reference chadi and not Jaydee which reinforced the belief they had big hopes for Chadi.
Let’s hope he isn’t rushed and recovers from the injury

The best way for him to recover and get into a playing rhythm is on loan, not making cameo appearances off of our bench

Personally I don't think it would benefit us to send him out on loan Neillo. A couple of under 21 games to get full fitness (though he looked good to me yesterday) wouldn't do him any harm. Quality player, just look who he played for, and we need quality now. Jaydee, even though he's still only young is a good back up as is Lerma at CB. Fancy the new manager will play a different system too

I get what you're saying, but U21 football is not close to being as intense as Championship football.

I'm watching the U21 game now, Palace winning 6-0 and Chadi's not had to break sweat.

He's been out for a long time. I think it would be unfair on him as much as it is on Canvot to expect them to replace Guehi.

So where is our Guehi replacement? We are desperate for a settled back three and until Canvot gains experience (and stops his goal-conceding mistakes) then Riad is the likely stand-in. He should not be sent out on loan or, worse, sold.

Totally agree,we need more players in rather than out the door in the shocking state we are in.

I think we are agreeing aren’t we? I’m saying that we need to keep him in the squad rather than loaning him out. I don’t think we have any idea if Riad is a Guehi replacement.

I’m certainly not going to base my judgement on a cameo against a team who’d already won and taken their foot of the gas. He could be great and I hope he is but the sample size is too small to know. Either way we need to keep him here.

If OG is going to keep playing a back three personally I’d like to see him use Lerma as a centre half. He has the most experience in that position and is a seasoned Premier League player. Might not be an option for Forest but beyond that (if OG still has a job) he’s our best bet

He was thrown in to the U21s game against Derby County in a Prem 2 game. He scored, looked great and lasted 74 minutes.
He is our ready made Marc replacement if we can build his fitness and keep him fit.
