Definition of stupid, taking a gun and confronting law enforcement

You arnt peacefully protesting if you bring a gun and two loaded magazines to a "peaceful protest" and obstruct law enforcement operations, not follow their order and resist arrest.

Democrats need to stop fueling a dangerous rhetoric and to tell people to leave law enforcement alone to do their job.

It's crazy, isn't it? They can clearly see exactly what the rest of the world sees (again), yet are desperate to spin another narrative (again).

I think a big part of it is because this is what they want on the streets here and why they want a Reform (or further right party) to get in. They want a UK equivalent of ICE with similar powers and see very little wrong with either the cause or the methodology.

They are quite happy for an armed, state sponsored special police force to be roaming the streets, and taking lives of either immigrants or protestors who are deemed to be getting in their way, with total impunity.

The targets are either the immigrants themselves, or those sympathetic to them (the 'left') and as you can see from those posters on here, they literally hate both and shed no tears for anyone who has their life ruined or worse, loses their lives at the hands of these people. They want the fear and intimidation and think anyone who gets in their way is fair game and had it coming.

Well not just a gun. If you charge at the cops tactical-unit, while wielding any kind of a deadly weapon ? a tactical unit who were scrambled cos you had just brutally battered a shop assistant........then i really don't have too much sympathy for such stupidity.

This story below has echoes of Mark Duggan of the London Riots. And of many other stories that get to the newspapers. Family accusing the cops of being baddies while totally refusing to accept any responsibility. Responsibility for the tragic outcome of their weapon-owning 'innocent victim' young man.

Carrying a gun is not against the law over there in that state by all accounts .

By that logic January 6 should have been a massacre.

You are correct, I believe he had a permit for the gun. However, obstructing law enforcement operations is against the law, so is resisting arrest. Basically follow law enforcement instructions, don't be an idiot and you walk away. Better yet don't go in the first place.
