Oliver Glasner Press Conferences

He keeps saying how much Palace means to him.......

Why the feck is he leaving us then????

All bullshit as far as I'm concerned.........
I've been trying to analyse why this whole situation has been more than just depressing, it's been hurtful and just the other day I figured it out. It's the realisation that no matter what he says, he never actually cared about Palace at all. This was just a job for him.
Why have I come to that conclusion? Well it's because the vengeance with which he's executed this outburst. He hasn't just voiced an opinion, he's purposefully detailed the club. Now other players want to leave, new players won't want to sign, morale will have dropped to an all time low, people won't want to invest in the club.
If you set out to destroy something, anything like that, there's no way it's something that you could have ever cared for.

Don’t you realise that for the overwhelming majority of players as well as managers it is “ just a job “ ??

Unless we start getting more points, with West Ham starting to show some fight, very impressive today against Sunderland,we could well be dragged into a battle to avoid the drop.
Well done OG,for helping to destroy confidence!!

Seeing how easily West Ham are beating Sunderland makes me angry about last week all over again. OG basically gave up on a game to prove a personal point. He put his ow ego ahead of doing the best job for the team. Make no mistake we are firmly in the relegation picture and we can’t afford a manager who doesn’t seem to get that every point matters.

I wouldn't underestimate the loss of Guehi.
We have been without him for the odd game or short run of games, but not for a sustained period .
He's been the cornerstone of our defence for 4 years and has been a model of consistency as well as having the ability to bring the ball out of defence.
We have to hope Lerma steps up as I would not want to rely on Riad or Canvot at the present time.

Will Glasner get the sort of reception that Trump would at the Invictus Games?

Definitely felt like Glasner was told what to say by Parish (perhaps to the extent of it meaning he kept his job). He admitted that he's not 100% committed, but only 99% now. I understand his frustrations but I do see him in a different light now. I think the love he had from the fans is definitely being tested. However, football is very fickle these days and if we win on Sunday I guess he'll be flavour of the month again......

Don't think that there is any chance of beating Chelsea tomorrow!!

He could continually slag of Palace, Parish, even the fans, but if we were winning every match, I wouldn’t care less.

The reason OG has fallen into villain status is because he spat his dummy out but most importantly, because we’re playing awful football, losing every match.

Tomorrow will be no different and as has been famously said before, the only loyalty in football is between the club and the fans. I neither require nor expect Glasner to love Palace.

Therefore I couldn’t care less and don’t want to hear about how much Glasner loves for Palace, I want him to win us games. If that’s not happening, he has to go. If it does happen, I’ll equally want him to stay.

I find some similarities with Oliver's relationship with Palace and a short-term employee I had in Amsterdam a few years ago.
The job specification was agreed and the length of contract. Things went very successfully for the first 20 minutes. I thought she might commit long-term because I thought she loved me.
It transpired the money was all she was after.
3 minutes later she was with another client, performing miracles in helping them stay up.
I can't help feeling, if I had a bigger budget, we might still be together

When you are angry the truth comes out, and "i DONT CARE" will be his epitaph from Palace for me, not that i liked him anyway
At least use the full quote then. He said we will do what we will do, whether it’s with him as manager or not he doesn’t care. In other words what he had to say was too important to keep quiet just to stay in the job.

A 60s communist spokesman must have prepared Glasner's and Parish's programme notes tomorrow as it appears that last week's outbursts never happened - not even a smidgeon of an acknowledgement or reference.

I suppose this was to be expected really.

The response to the team and Glasner tomorrow will be dictated by the result and performance.
Before kick off he walks past where I sit and usually gives the supporters a little wave on his way to the dugout.
I suspect he'll get a lukewarm reception tomorrow but don't anticipate anything as extreme as boos.

They're only after one thing.

Complete silence often generates the most interesting response.
