Came across this today

No trains between East Croydon / Purley / Reigate and Redhill / Gatwick Airport on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 January

Looks like if going to Gatwick after the game you will have to go to East grinstead and then a bus.

The alternative is go up to Clapham Junction and down to Norwood Junction, that's what I was thinking of doing as I am doing a round trip from Geneva on the day.

I was thinking that too. My flights at 7 after the game. There's a train from East Croydon to East grinstead at 4.40 and then a shuttle bus gets me there for 5.50 if all goes to plan. Buts it cutting everything a bit too tight 😬

The BBC on page South East railway closures are reporting that there are buses being laid on between Gatwick Purley and East Croydon as well as Redhill and Tonbridge.

Just taken this off of the TfL website/weekly notifications . . .

On Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 January, rail journeys to Gatwick Airport and Brighton will be disrupted due to Network Rail engineering works.

Direct services to the airport will be available from Victoria, while routes from London Bridge will involve a replacement bus service from East Grinstead.

Allow at least 90 minutes extra for journeys to Gatwick via either of these routes. Journeys to Brighton and Sussex coast stations are also affected.

For more information and to plan your journey, visit the National Rail website.
