Glasner was a Glazier....and is still a brilliant manager. The problem lies elsewhere ?

go and re-watch Glasner's tv interview today. He got shafted. first with Eze and again, this week, with Guehi.
Imagine if an F1 driver is told their car is being downgraded, just hours before a big race.

Who the hell has been brought in to replace Guehi ?
Spot on.

“Oh sorry Lewis Hamilton, we are swapping out our purpose built Ferrari power unit for a second-hand Lada Riva engine. I’m sure it will do the job just fine. No crying about it now! Oh, we’ve pawned off the tyres and the brakes too, I’m sure you can carry on as normal without them?”

SP and Roy set the scene for OG to arrive and act on the challenge faced by CPFC.

Having met the challenge (none of us were thinking FA Cup and Charity Shield when OG arrived, between them SP and OG have done another reset. We have lost Olise, Eze, Guehi, with OG still around until season's end. There are boots to be filled - perhaps including JPM. The rest of January, plus February, March, April, and May could see many staking their claims to climb the next peak as CPFC players. Certainly, prospective managers will see that an opportunity is being presented.

The recall of Imray is an indication that a loan is no longer part of an exit process. OG has spoken and I hope movitated players to speak from the pitch to SP, and us..

But both EE & MG most likely made it clear to the Club that they weren’t going to play for us the following day.
I’m wondering whether MG thought he wouldn’t be playing in the FA cup game last week. Hence his and the rest of the lads’ performance.

Some months ago Glazier was asked about how negotiations with the club were progressing and what were likely to be the determining factors in him continuing with the club.

He said the key was in establishing if there was alignment in objectives and how the future direction of the club was seen. He said if there was no alignment there would be no point in continuing at the end of the season it would be ‘bye-bye.’

This was said after previously pointing out in the summer that he believed that the club had let him down on promises about buying first team ready players early in the window.

The warning signs were there earlier so it’s no surprise to me.
None of has any idea what Glasner was told about player recruitment, but it’s clear that he doesn’t feel supported, and the club is reaping what it sowed with such an inadequate squad.
This was epitomised by the lame attempt to replace the fantastic Guehi at the 11th hour of the summer window by Brighton reserve Julia who now just about makes the West Ham bench.

If anybody feels Glasner has been properly supported ( I’m not talking about excessive spending on huge signings) please provide evidence.
It was clear we were looking at a 60 plus game season with a weaker set of players than when Glasner first joined.

It maybe time for him to go but show a bit of respect.
He gave us the best footballing day of our lives and so many great memories. I’ve supported palace for 30 years, my boy 2 and I’ve never ever had it as good as under OG. My lad will think this is the norm 😬
It’s sad it’s come to this but even I think maybe it’s time to move on but show some class.
Respect! that is earned, i have been saying for six months, he is a poor manager, ridiculous formations and tactics, 12th in the league last year, with the best squad we have ever had, that is why we won the FA cup, the players, in spite of a poor manager, he got Pino, Canvot, Esse, Uche all players he said he sanctioned, another lie? the says in October he isn't going to renew, that is when he should have been sacked, then has the cheek to say the board have abandoned him, surely it is the other way round, we were lucky in the final against City, Penalty goes in then his record is worse than Pardew's, he has hoodwinked most supporters in believing he is great, when in reality he is poor, i will say it one more time, he is the EMPORERS NEW CLOTHES.

So he says , we all know now he isn't the best of truth tellers .

you have got that badly wrong Pardew was 40% Glasner was 49% win rate and 2 trophys so dont try and justify your comments with incorrect stats not a good look👍

Glasners win ratio is 42.71, Pardews were 40.23, Pulis was 42.86, Facts not fantasies.

are you on drugs ? to follow your logic, Glasner hoodwinked them at Frankfurt too.

compare our statistics with and without Eze. Glasner got shafted. And now again with Guehi.
Eze has added to the Arsenal title challenge. Olise equally brilliant, and no longer an Eagle.
And in 3 months time Parish will again sell whoever is our best player.

Unfortunately he’s burnt his bridges , smoke and mirrors with MG , everyone knew he would leave this window , we can’t afford to loose 20mill.

OG has been questionable since his decision to leave, yesterday for ex, he made zero subs when we have talent on the bench and has 2 GPs sat there , hardly instills confidence in a squad of 22 players when he bleats on about only having 12.

He’s made poor decisions imo deliberately to make a point to Parish , especially in Europe , it’s been a shambles.

He’s was great gave us the best season but since then he’s like a spoiled child, he signed on at Palace, everyone knows what resources we have.

Best for all if he resigns today and leaves with dignity.

Do you think any of Eze, Olise and Guehi wanted to stay with us? What do you think would have happened if we refused to sell?

What Guehi would have turned up? The same that faced Macclesfield?

Perhaps City and Guehi put their feet down? Do you force him to play anyway?

OG can hardly have been taken by surprise. Were his comments more a deflection from the dulling of his crown?

£20m is a steal but not with mere months to the end of a contract (he won't renew) and more than the nothing if he played to season end. Our club cannot afford that risk. The buyer club held all the cards, including the time of sale.

Ideally, we would have had an alternative lined up. We haven't. Unlike Man City we do not have the resources within financial rules to buy a ready made English international from the premier League.

We rode our luck with Guehi in the summer. I don't know what OG realistically thought would happen now?

We also need consider our reputation in the market as a selling club. The issue with Liverpool may have tarnished that.
