Glasner Out

I’ve just watched the bbc and sky post match interviews with Ollie and I have to say - a lot of what he has said is very difficult to disagree with.

I have been a Parish advocate for the last few years - but honestly I think the “lack of ambition” aspect of Glasner’s post match interviews is SPOT ON.

We’re not going to get relegated so let’s not worry too much attitude - has the potential to come back and bite us on the arse! But besides all that I just feel very very sad, deflated and bemused at what’s been going on with our board and recruitment team.

We had an opportunity and you blew it Steve. W T actual F!!!!!

From the post match interviews today I reckon Ollie is going down the 'be highly critical of the board and then they will sack me' policy.

That from a manager who has already said he is going was the speech of a man who no longer has to toe the party line and seems unshackled.

If that is the case he has to go now I'm afraid as that attitude will infect the squad.

Glasner is true in his interview with sky , absolute stupidity to allow MG to go the day before the match after they trained all week .. as a result we lost and Marc got the day off to travel
Parish your decisions ,lack of ambition and being in control of tight fisted America billionaires will make us another Coventry , Derby , Birmingham or be wolves soon if u don’t look after us
We didn’t lose that because Guehi didn’t play. Knowing he was going he was never going to play or else would have being minding himself like he did in the cup game. We lost because either OG isn’t as good as we all thought or he has lost interest and deliberately refused to freshen up the team with subs like Uiche or Canvot.

It all goes back to the terrible window in the summer, they should have backed glasner and got buisness done early. I can understand the frustration, Eze and Guehi both sold the day before a game, Guehi sold on the last day of the window with no replacement. Im guessing Glasner wasn't planning to announce he was leaving yesterday but blindsided the club after he had been told Guehi was leaving earlier.

Its a shame its turnt sour but if we can get whoever is lined up to replace him, in now, it'll be better for everyone if we just do it now, instead of waiting for the summer.

Yes, two clubs where also wasn't backed.
Or alternatively he has the same MO every time.

I could have seen this after the summer window although even then we didn’t sell Guehi to support OG.

Not now though. We just broke our transfer record and OG just lost to Macclesfield. This is about OG trying to control the narrative.

Although I agree with Glasner’s point, it’s disappointing that he chose to air it publicly, as it’s made him come across as petulant. We’ve seen this recently with the managers of Chelsea, Manchester United and Celtic, all of whom were swiftly dismissed after similar public complaints. I’m naturally suspicious, and it does make me wonder whether Glasner has deliberately loaded the gun for SP to pull on Monday. As for SP and the board, they absolutely should have invested in quality signings over the summer to strengthen the squad.

Tonight we are in a real mess. A messed up confused manager who anyway is leaving, a Chairman who in the last few shots is not looking good at all, has a very small minority holding, and three big shot American holders who rarely if ever attend games or from the outside appear to have any real interest in the club. Have any even been to a game this season? Look at Wrexham by comparison.
Last summer we dily dallied about with the Europe fiasco, we have dithered about with a new stand for SIX years, and our board members ignored the need to build our squad to manage the increased number of games. We sold our best player, are on the cusp of selling our new best player and captain and we lost our Director of football in the spring under dubious circumstances.
Us fans are pretty much in the dark as to the detail behind what on earth is going on, but it is not looking good tonight. In fact, it is looking bloody awful.

I don’t actually want Textor or any American in charge. However, no one in their right mind would invest to their full intent without having a sizeable amount of sway on decisions.

What Parish has always done, because of sheer ego in my opinion, has told the biggest investors that they don’t have a seat at the table, they can’t decide the direction of their club but they should be the ones footing the bill.

If your Boss/CEO kept coming to work and saying “can you use all your savings to invest to make our business better, but you can’t be involved in decision making, we might still sack you if you think you’re not doing well enough but it’ll be all your money pumping into the business”, would you say yeah, sure?

You are saying you don't want Textor having the main say but that was the only way you get the cash....so I'm not sure what you are saying.

You can't get the money for nothing and quite frankly I think keeping Textor out was sensible.....and who are these others that Parish was rejecting?

Well… that was some interview. It is really hard not to understand why there is an issue and it’s come to this. He was gone the second the transfer window shut in the summer in reality. No way he can stick around now even though he is right on this point.

We did have a huge chance to push on but the board choose the ‘Plan’ small steps, keep out of relegation keep things ticking over. Like footballing death by a thousand cuts. Not going down not going up. Limbo. That is exactly what the tit Textor said. Now OG has said it too.

It does explain his switch from great to bad, humble to arrogant. From his point of view he is a winner and his tools have been taken away.

That said I still think he should go now. It’s done. We will be in the dog fight of dog fights if he stays until the end of the season. Which of the players on the bench would want to put a shift in for him? Canvot and Uche must be thinking f*** you.
