Sunderland vs. Crystal Palace match thread

Maybe .
It’s all a bit emotional and raw .
But Glasner is not covering himself in glory
True but all teams hit bad runs. We all knew it was unlikely we'd get anything today but some of the comments on here you'd think it was Macclesfield all over again.
Patience is the key. We wont get relegated. We will turn things around. 100%

Hard call isn't it? Do you risk getting a new man in and plummeting while his ideas get across to the players or do you stick with a bloke who refuses to change his style no matter how appalling we have become but knows and gets on with the players?
Either way we are falling fast so I'd f*** Glasner off now just for a bit of new manager excitement.
And while we're at it sell Mateta asap. I'd take anyone who knows the offside rule at the moment. Utter useless lump.
I guess the counter point to it being a hard decision is that right now we are the worst team in the division. We’ve taken 2 points from the last 21 available. I can’t say that anyone else could do any worse so the downside risk of changing now is pretty much zero.

Couple that with the fact OG has caused instability with his press conference and then basically stuck two fingers up to the fans and board today by not doing anything to try and change a losing situation.

In fairness, who would you have brought on to change the game? Uche, maybe Sosa. But there's slim pickings.

Subs: Matthews, Benitez, Uche, Clyne, Canvot, Sosa, Imray, Riad, Drakes-Thomas.

Maybe Glasner does want to be sacked and if that is the case then it is very poor behaviour. Of course the easy way to stop that is put Paddy in charge and put Glasner on gardening leave but don’t sack him.

You would hope he is more professional than that but he has already lost a lot of the fans and Parish is not so stupid as to be immune to what is happening.
My thoughts too
Disgraceful not using a single sub

You can't be serious.

Yes lets just fire a guy who has said he is going at end of his contract yet we then go blow money on firing him.

Not sure what you expect manager to do we don't have the players had they done proper recruitment in summer this would not have been an issue well they didn't and this new window comes what has happened wow 1 signing yet we just lost our captain as well.

SP is the one who needs to be fired.
Not necessarily. Only some fans who believe that one swallow does make a summer have to face reality. If a club of our size and with our budget could catch up with the top teams in the long term, we would drive all the financiers and accountants of the big clubs to suicide.

I think the best decisions can be made in the morning, after a good nights rest

Are you seriously suggesting Glasner is trying to lose games on purpose?

The point being he has let attacking players go on loan that he don’t like .

He’s a lame duck ,since October .
Like who? Rak-Saki and Esse? Neither are good enough. Neither would have changed a single thing about the game today.
This is truly ridiculous. EVERYONE agreed it was too early to expect a turn around and get anything out of today. We predictably lose (after being the better team in the first half) and now everyone is looking for blame or thinking they had the answer but Glasner is too stubborn.

With Sarr and Munoz back, Pino on the bench and Paddy to run the show we will see a change Call back the young loanees and stop using square pegs in round holes.
