FA Cup 3rd Round Macclesfield

Right lets get this finished , because Palace fans have vented there spleens , the away fans will for sometime take the P , why because we have shown we are hurting big time , anything the away fans chant is down to the reaction on this site , because you didnt know when to drop it , I tried to get people to shut up but the pile kept on coming , you have made it easy for away fans and when we play away to kill us , well done people pat yourselfs on the back , for being to self centered , you have killed the one thing we had when things go bad we swallow it and show we are still Palace ,

Macclesfield already have this years Bonfire night sorted. They are going to build a huge bonfire, made of glass and wood. Atop the bonfire will be an effigy of Steve Parish
At precisely 19:36 on bonfire night, the bonfire will be lit, and all of Macclesfield will dance around the fire, singing "we kicked their @r5e" and be merry until morning.

Apparently, there's trouble with the council and planning permission. They'll do that next year, maybe, definitely. Or the next.

TBH I’ve had a two hour cuddle tonite with my 12 week old grandson. Born 7 weeks prem in October. For that alone I would swap an fa cup defeat every year by a non league team 👍
Point is whatever result it won’t pay my bills, allow me to retire or make me and mine healthier. The win last year completed me with palace football wise, and most on here said the same. How is this now worse on a scale of how great that was.?

I think on a personal level this is right.

Football is just a game for us (or should be) and a business for those getting wages from it.

But I want to see Palace as a big club in London regularly challenging like Arse and Spurs.....Well, like Arse anyway.

But at some point I'll step away like we all will.

The sarcasm is a bit unnecessary. I actually think its 'small club mentality' to brush something like this off and move on immediately from it. We're not Gillingham or Barnsley. We are top division Crystal Palace FA Cup holders. To some that means something. Therefore this result will always be deemed totally unacceptable. People have every right to articulate those feelings. The 'its just one game, move on' attitude is fine if thats how you feel. Have to say I question how much you'd really care about the club's standing in the football food chain if you are as unconcerned as you seem to be.
Do you think for example Chelsea fans, Spurs fans or even West Ham fans would be brushing it off if they were in the same situation?

I agree that other teams fans will take the p!ss regardless of what has been posted on here.

I also agree with you that the Macclesfield game shouldn’t have been brushed under the carpet and we had a right to vent about it.
For me there are two issues, it is not that we lost (it happens) but the manner of the defeat. But the biggest issue I have with it is the unwanted record (117 bloody places) that will be dragged up every year. It is so Palace to win one year then set a new record the next year for being the worst ever defending champions.
I have moved on, and now desperately hope Macclesfield beat Brentford.
