FA Cup 3rd Round Macclesfield

Positives from today - yes there are some (although scaping the barrell somewhat)

1. we don't need to worry about more games
2. We should have the 4th round weekend off
3. Hopefully, the management can see that certain fringe players just aren't good enough. Though, I think Glasner knew that already.

Pino scored a good goal but his overall contribution, as it has been in the PL, was woeful.
One cannot fault Uche on effort but one can comment on his dearth of quality. He has done precious little to suggest there is a case for retaining his services.
I am incandescent with rage and my dear wife exited my abode to free herself from my vitriolic rantings. 😡 😡

I think we have already triggered the clause so he is our player now.

So another 20m spent on someone who may be another dud

Well, well, well. That was awful.

The ultimate highs to the ultimate lows in the FA Cup. Good ol' Palace have managed it in 2 games.

Please can we get a natural right back in, it's painful seeing us play with a left footed player there.

Fairplay to Macclesfield, they completely deserved it. We were not at the races.

Thank goodness there's some time for training this month as we look awful.

Oh dear willo. You’ve pissed her off again 💁

Fair play to the late Mr Ian Curtis's beloved Macclesfield FC, but is this really the biggest FA Cup shock ever recorded in history, making sports news outlets around the world?

I fully grasp the fact that none of them are professional players, and 10 of the 11 starters today have part-time professions elsewhere, but to be labelled the biggest cup shock in history seems a little bit far-fetched to me.

What does truly annoy one however is the ex professional pundits on Sky lambasting the CPFC players by saying they need to "hold their heads in shame this evening"

I get the world has changed, and the effect social media has contributed towards that because society prefers reading about the downfall of successful people, but come on....do these ex-pro's not remember the magnitude of what the same players achieved a little over 7 months ago?

Are or are we supposed to forget about our achievements in the modern world?

This is what makes the FA Cup the greatest competition, when the small clubs can beat the so called big clubs who have got loads of money and big named players, it's the romance of the Cup.

We have to take it on the chin and move on.

Good luck to Macclesfield they deserve it, their fan's will go home buzzing as we did when we actually won it

It wasn’t just the fringe players that weren’t good enough.
Pino was awful, Sosa shouldn’t be a footballer, Wharton had probably his worst ever game in a Palace shirt! And not one player got more than 2 out of 10 today, and that is being generous!

Walk the dog, have a pint and buy her a dairy milk.

Spot on. Pino seems to have gone backwards and Uche lacks the quality we need. Then again Uche doesn't get any service. Without Kamado we lack any creativity.

My wife was concerned that the neighbours would call the police because of my ranting at the TV!!
