I don’t mean to jinx him but he’s exactly what we need. A fast, intelligent player who reads the game well and pops up in the box at the right time to stab in goals. I know he’s a winger but I’d play him more in a central attacking position. Imagine him, Munoz and Sarr working well in a team. We’ll be back at the races challenging for top 6.You don't half come out with some odd comments 🤣

We could see a more fluid arrangement with him and Sarr interchanging central and wider positions; maybe on the left too when required to help Mitchell out and Munoz is back.I don’t mean to jinx him but he’s exactly what we need. This is a brilliant review of Johnson. With his speed and ability to play left or right, once him and Sarr are playing together, we could well be unstoppable. Very exciting 2nd half of season to come. All we need now is some cover for Munoz and maybe one other just to swell our squad.Interesting video discussing if he's a good fit for us:

Personally I'd still like a midfielder who could score a few (one or two would be an improvement) and optimism is a rare enough emotion around Palace but so far so good - let's see what the rest of the window brings. This is a brilliant review of Johnson. It's very unfortunate but it looks like Doucoure and Riad may be past returning to Premier levels of fitness and strength. (Hope Im wrong)
In the meanwhile, Esse needs to go to Coventry and apparently Uche is only staying this season. I would imagine we will let J R-S go soon enough.

Is this a song suggestion?he played s***, and was at fault for the 1st goal

I prefer Glasner's knowledgeable assessment of Johnson's performance which bears no resemblance to yourshe played s***, and was at fault for the 1st goal

He had two days with the team and one 40 min training session. He put in a good effort, it was obvious at times the connections aren’t there yet… but that’s completely normal in the circumstance.I think Brennan worked incredibly hard and if anything seemed to be trying maybe a bit too hard. It was obvious he was desperate to impress.
Its hard with half the team out but I'd be interested to see how he performs at Selhurst. I hope the crowd really get behind him. He definitely seems a confidence player. Thats no bad thing when the crowd are roaring you on. Look at how he performed at Forest where he was a crowd favourite. Practically got them up on his own!

I’m happy enough but do hope and expect for more against Villa.

He’ll be better once Munoz is back. Clyne can’t overlap as much these days so when Johnson got the ball he had to go wide and cross which isn’t his strong suit, or try to find Mateta which is currently a wasted pass unfortunately. There were a couple of occasions when I’d like to have seen him take a shot on rather than pass. That may be a confidence issue or following instructions from Glasner. Having said all that there was enough there to suggest he will do well once he settles in.Esse had a great start...
Would hope that we look to give him the ball a bit more too - Wharton needs to get him on his radar.

Instructions from Glasner to everybody seems to be 'only shoot if there's nobody to pass to'He’ll be better once Munoz is back. Never given enough credit that guySky reporting Kudos has done his thigh and will be out until April. Bet our Brennan is looking a bit better to them now.
