How’s Franca doing ? Any news .
Looking at our injuries and fixture congestion,would it be possible to recall him from loan ?
Geographicaly might not be practical or possible in the loan terms .
Maybe a bad idea ,I’ve always liked what I’ve seen when he’s come on .

Funnily enough I thought the exact same thing this morning so did a quick check. Although I didn't do an in depth analysis. I did notice that he's played 15 games & his hit a grand total of NIL Goals

No assists either but it's not clear how much time he's actually had. He had an adductor injury and it looks as though they've been careful with him. Even so it's not exactly a successful loan period to date.
 
I'm going to put this down as no serious loss. It was clearly Textor who wanted him and wouldn't have put down that money otherwise. Essentially it didn't come out of "our" pocket.
 
In our current condition it might be worth recalling him and seeing if 20min or so off the bench could spark a revival - apart from the new kid with the hair we have no back up for Sarr, esp with Kamada also out and a two leg Euro play off imminent.
 
I think he went back to Brazil as his Mrs was homesick. Maybe his bad form is physiological as he must have had something about him. Might be he wants to come back. I would give him a 2 nd chance if he did. And he had the best song 👍
 
He's finished at Palace. He may come back because the loan club doesn't want him but neither do we. It happens but in hindsight it was a big mistake.

If the guy can't find any form in his home country he has no chance here. Move on and just chalk this one up to nice try no cigar.
 
he's not lacking in ability, it's all about confidence, we don't know the full circumstances of his loan and what went on at Vasca ... he might come on late v Macclesfield, put them to the sword get his mojo back and we've got a player again. It seems he was out of form back in Brazil but he didn't get injured so that's an upward curve wrote he clutching desperately at straws. I'm just saying don't write him off just yet, dramatic turnarounds and comebacks do happen.

It just has not worked out for Franca at our club.
He did collect a significant injury after he joined us, being unavailable for nearly a year.
I could be 'Off Beam' but I believe the deal was circa £17.5 Mill rising to circa £26 Mill.
 
Franca has barely been fit over a couple of seasons.
The same can be said of Doucoure and Riad.

They have been unfortunate with continual injuries, but if I were Glasner I wouldn't be making plans for them making any contribution this season.
The pattern for the latter two has been resumption of light first team training followed by another inevitable breakdown.

If we do buy another budding 'superstar' like Franca it might be wise to have a minimal initial payment, with subsequent payments very much based on performance and appearances.
We may have done this with Franca, but I saw figures of £16 - 20 million for his services with the sums increasing if he won the Ballon D'Or!
