I probably would have the same knock on the door if I had my real name and identity stored on this and on X. I can only imagine what you went through back then. It's really not nice.

My own silly fault.

My view would come from friends and family who would work in law enforcement. There's a lot of eye rolling and gritted teeth. It's certainly a job I would not do or be able to do.

I get it....It's not easy for them....but it's probably going to get worse before it gets better.

The Police said I'd been reported for extremist views. But I explained that it was some probably far lefty on here causing trouble, which after a talk they seemed to accept.

Everytime this pops up I find myself getting angry that this happened to you. It could have been me or anyone one else with common sense views these days.

I'd suggest the reason would be that the 'far-left' mentality is based in cowardice. A bitter resentment toward the rest of the world for personal failure and the cowardly attribution of blame unto others as a result of the failure to take responsibility for their own existence.

Hence 'reporting' others. A cowardly snipe from the bitter and twisted.

That would be my assessment.

i am happy to discuss gay rights. Especially when it comes to criminal fanatics in the Middle East who throw them off high buildings. And i then question how similar rainbow flag people make common ground with fanatics in the UK who shout the same slogans. I could tell that one of the officers who came to my door, after being reported by someone on Hol years ago.....She certainly looked embarrassed (though that can also be a tactic to get you to incriminate yourself....not that I'd done anything wrong). The guy though....not so much.

If you are part of an evil system....it's hard to have sympathy.

There are other jobs in that field that don't involve arresting and punishing people for being normal as has happened with this Irish guy.

Were you accused of a crime or threatened with arrest?

My Great Uncle was part of the lend-lease convoys that took the equipment to Murmansk.
He told me two crazy stories.
1) They offloaded rows of tanks for the Russians, at which point the Russian commander looked him in the eye and said "Thanks, we'll use them on you eventually!"
2) He also said that a Russian private stole his watch. He pointed out the thief to a Russian officer, who took the private outside in the snow. There was a gunshot and the officer came back in and returned my uncle his watch.

My Great Uncle had helped the Republic in the Spanish Civil War, but was a staunch conservative after his Murmansk experiences.
