US Politics

Time for your chill pills. These are the most ridiculous, petty comments. A total disgrace to our country! Ffs but our national broadcaster who doctored a speech by the POTUS are not!,
What lie did she tell?
She told Trump, who had no idea about BBC ownership, that it was primarily funded by the taxpayer. Otherwise known as the Government. That’s a lie.

If you have watched it you could not have failed to notice the sycophancy and lack of questioning. If you think that’s good journalism, I don’t. Nothing petty about the truth. It was terrible.

The Epstein story takes another turn.

With Trump trying to stop the Justice Department having to release all their documents he seems to have found the way to do it. Although it’s not yet been widely noticed!

He has instructed Bondi, and she of course has jumped to attention, to open an investigation into various Democrats and their possible involvement with Epstein. No Republicans like himself. Just Democrats.

The man tasked is inexperienced and it’s suggested will take years to get nowhere. However whilst an ongoing case exists there will be an embargo on the documents.

It’s a neat ruse. How will it play with the public? Those with nothing to hide, hide nothing!

I did watch it thanks. Presumably you won’t be watching GB News again, I’m sure they will be gutted.
Your comments were petty and somewhat schoolboyish. However I’m sure you watched it with an open mind, is that not what you are always telling us you do?

Don’t forget the board are “ elected” on recommendations from Ministers. No Government influence at all.
Exactly a quick look at the current board they are overwhelmingly of the "liberal" type.

Apparently all 9 were bullied by one evil Tory who has no more power than them. If that is true then the board should be sacked for being weak.

In fairness from the reports I heard it appears that the board were broadly in agreement that the report was accurate and that this was a serious error whereas the News Manager and the DG were all for sweeping it under the carpet.

A few days ago you said the BBC license fee was a tax. You said exactly that!

They have 2, the other is Ben Leo who is also very good. Although presumably he could be in line for a Cornish character assassination anytime.
I take no notice from someone who was okay with Charlie kirks assassination and wishing death on another human being (Trump) all arguments after those comments have became completely invalidated. Once someone crosses into celebrating or justifying political violence, they forfeit any credibility.

Demonstrating that the Board worked, no?

And a left liberal DG who stood for parliament as.a Tory candidate? Bolshevik!

Exactly. I am not the one saying that the board is being bullied by 1 Tory member, it's BBC staff and their media friends.

The board has been quiet on the matter which suggests that there is broad agreement with their stance, if not they why have they not spoken out?

I only watched part of it. It was gut wrenchingly sycophantic and it made me squirm with embarrassment seeing a British journalist treat him like that.

If you thought otherwise please explain why.

Please specify who you mean?

If it’s me then I will be demanding an apology for I was never, and am not, ok with Charlie Kirk’s murder. Nor have I ever wished death on anyone, Trump included.

How do you reach this conclusion? They are supposed to bring their experience to the table. Not their politics.

What I am hearing is of a huge split developing between the Board and the staff because the Board’s is no longer comprised of experienced senior industry professionals but people who have little or no understanding of the role of the BBC. You might think that a good thing. I am sure it isn’t.

If anyone was looking for proof of someone who was okay with Charlie kirks assassination and wishing death on another human being (Trump) then they only need to go back a few pages on this topic.

Waking up every morning hoping to learn that Trump has passed away will be a very common sentiment among all but his base. He is old. He is looking sick. He will die one day. Why not tonight? Not through violence but through natural causes. When dying could be the best thing he has ever done for his country why wouldn’t some welcome it?
Here is one post being okay with and rationalising wishing death on another person. I'm sure the rest of you can find the other posts.

Because I never watch interviews/ programmes with a blinkered view. Do you believe all these types of interviews are not pre-arranged and the interviewees do not dictate the content and nature of the interview? You didn’t watch all of it, why watch any of it? You are starting to embarrass yourself over this “ squirm with embarrassment “ really 🤔
