Raheem Sterling

I haven't watched the guy, but Norwich are struggling in 23rd so that doesn't bode well.

I'd rather go for someone with a bit of top flight experience, but easier said than done.

Tyrique George from Chelsea? We might be able to prize him from their grasp.
What an unproven gamble, ahh but your a good judge of character, and footballers?

We are past the point of desparetly signing players passed their best like benteke and sakho. We have players warming the bent who can replace sarr like esse and uche, or try a youngster like in the old days. They need to step up. The scouts shoukd be looking for that good player in an underperfprming team who will look class when in a good team (maybe Josh Sergeant). A good player in a crap team will look ordinary. Its easy doing a Utd and buying players making headlines, finding an olise, eze, munoz or wharton is harder.

I made enquiries about Tyrique George in the week and the following link was forwarded to me :
Chelsea would be reluctant to let him go if he is going to become a regular, but they will sell for the right money. Unfortunately, it might be too much for us.

Tyrique George is an up and coming talent.

But you keep wallowing in your has been fantasies. 😛🙄

Educated in Croydon.
Chelsea have a habit of asking sky high prices for their players. We did get Guehi for a decent price, but he was only a prospect at that point, without much Premier League experience.

We will see.

Royal Russell very sporty, private now.
I am of the opinion that Royal Russell has always had 'Independent' status.
MP for East Grinstead and Uckfield and Shadow Secretary of State for Wales, Mims Davies, was a student at Royal Russell. I had the pleasure of meeting her at a Conservative function probably a couple of months ago.

They were grammar when we stuffed em in the early mid 70’s, fee paying now

I left Sylvan hill school when i was 15, no qualifications at all, hard work and bullshit, is the way forward, iv'e done ok.

A goal contribution every 135 minutes across his career. Over the last three seasons, his goal contribution stats have been

2022/23 - Goal contribution every 197 minutes
2023/24 - Goal contribution every 131 minutes
2024/25 - Goal contribution every 190 minutes

So in terms of attacking output, it's not like his stats have been disastrous. However, I fear that he would not make the defensive contribution to be a player that Glasner likes.

Clearly he likes his players to work just as hard off the ball than on it and I am not sure that's a fundamental part of Sterling's game and, in his 30s, might be a bit late to add it.

Based solely on his attacking output and the amount of assists he provides, I actually would be open to a six month loan but can't see it happening.

he was off to Fulham for c£22m only 3 months ago so they will definitely sell. Hardly a regular, plays in a few cup matches and the occasional sub appearance in the Prem, but i suspect they will want maybe £25m now.

Wages was the issue, has that changed?

Wages for George..? He's not signed a new deal since he broke into the first team, so he won't be on anything silly in terms of salary - I'd guess £20-30k a week. Obviously that would need bumping up if he signed, but I don't think it would be anything out of our reach.

I thought the move to Fulham collapsed because they signed Kevin & Chukwueze as wingers instead - George got as far as completing a medical, which presumably doesn't happen until there's agreement on finances.
