Ain’t that just the pot calling the kettle black. Muslims are never told to hate Jews are they ?82% of Haifans, just Mr & Mrs average Israeli, believe in the ethnic cleansing, the wiping out of the palestinians, it is just normal to them.
A glance at their education system. within CJs clip below, will leave you in no doubt as to the scale of their indoctrination from their first days of schooling.

If you look down the page he is constantly talking about sold out concerts and merchandise, follow the money like many " progressives " being contreversial is a money spinner, then times change and the Owen Jones' of this world have no income streamWhen you lie down with dogs.
Starmer and most of the entire Labour party are fully with people like 'Bob'.
But they lie because.....the Tories were so bad, they were given the reins of power and now find themselves in the situation where being honest publicly would ruin the economy in regards to foreign investment.

The youth have always been more left and active. It's just a fact that because this country hasn't had a sustained period of socialism for well over a generation there are now a lot of fairytale ideas about it.....In the past Wilson/Callaghan were a much more benign form of socialism (if still bad).....I don't really think Blair/Brown count because they were social and neo liberals....which while bad weren't Owen Jones's type progressives level of bad.
That fact has left us with a youth that contains far more socialists than conservatives (because the story socialism tells is manna for the easily impressed).
If Reform get in....which appears likely at this point.....then it'll be the boomers and Gen X who vote them in. We don't have the socially conservative element amongst the youth in large numbers as they do in the US....and that's concerning but understandable due to the control the left have over all our institutions from birth.....The US has the state system and so that total control isn't possible over there.
So to bring it back to 'Bob', there is a big market for progressives in the UK amongst the Owen Jones's types.......And until they get a taste of real socialism there always will be.

Politics goes in cycles. Right now its nationalist populism as the decades have made us forget what it gave us before. Socialism will get its turn with later generations also painting a revisionist utopian picture of life under it.
But right now, socialism is used as a dirty word by the right to describe something they see on the left which actually isn't socialist at all. It's a non-existent bogey man the way fascism was in my youth.

We have had neither pure socialist or fascist government in this country. In the modern age. Mixed, diluted and as mild as our weather. Strong activism at the margins of both ends yes and they have impacted on the policies of the centre. As a general comment for the UK I think that's accurate, but when you dig deeper there's a split emerging between males and females, with females being much more left wing. In America that's even more pronounced due to the reasons commented on earlier.
We have never had a nationalist government in the UK (I don't think Reform will be either), while we have had socialist ones.....Starting with McDonald a hundred years ago....Attee, and then Wilson/Callaghan. Albeit they weren't progressives in the modern sense.
An interesting perspective, I'd be interested to know your views what counts as proper socialism and fascism.
I'm attracted to basically anything anti neo and social liberal at this point......I think the west needs to restart and the attack on the elites from both left and right feels good to me.

The problem is government in general. Governments are largely incompetent, inefficient and wrongheaded. We are massively over-governed, over-taxed and have far too many layers of government. Abolish all regional parliaments and many councils, metro-mayors, police commissioners and most quangos, and slash public spending. Let ordinary people get on with their lives with more money in their pockets to drive the economy. We have had neither pure socialist or fascist government in this country. In the modern age. Good to see the whole society is not indoctrinated and it's only those pesky Hamas adult fightersnobody was ever born hating others. Its a learned behaviour. So blame the teachers. And if you think this indoctrination only happens in the Middle-East ? think again.
