I know. I remain bamboozled by this. But of course, trust in Glasner. I'm just calling it as I see it.Our manager doesn't agree however

To be fair I was surprised when Wharton and Kamada were the combination that started the FA Cup semi final… but not since. With respect, I am bamboozled that you’re bamboozled by this 😊. Plenty of opportunity for Hughes to play though.I know. I remain bamboozled by this. But of course, trust in Glasner. I'm just calling it as I see it.

I am bamboozled that you’re bamboozled by him being bamboozled which has generally bamboozled me into being bamboozled by the whole thing. Really I just wanted to type the word… bamboozled. To be fair I was surprised when Wharton and Kamada were the combination that started the FA Cup semi final… but not since. Good analysisAnother good display from Lerma last night.
It presents a nice problem for Glasner.
We look more fluid in midfield with a midfield combination of Wharton and Kamada/Hughes.
However, in the crucial area of defending and attacking set pieces we look more potent with Lerma in the team.
When Lerma plays and takes the long throw ins instead of Richards, it means that we can load Richards into the penalty area too giving another aerial problem for the opposition (and Richards wins a lot of aerial duels).
Furthermore, when Pino hits those floated free kicks into the area while the opposition are concentrating on Lacroix, Mateta, Guehi and Richards, it is often Lerma who wins the first header and he has a very good leap on him.

I dont disagree. But IMO no combination comes close to a Wharton/Kamada partnership.
We had zero control in the middle last night.
But agree re Lerma's throws and getting Richards in there too.
he has only scored once in 70 games yes I thought he had scored more , Schlupp 18 in 220Bit of an unfair comparison for me...Lerma has never been bad. He's just a bit more limited going forward than the other options in midfield. But to be fair, he's got more chance of a goal in him...a very decent shot from around the edge of the box.
As someone else stated, nice to have options now that we can call on for different oppositions!
