Sadly the days of corinthian sportmanship are dead. I am really annoyed that players chase the ref to get an opposition player booked or card upgraded.Did we boo Eze?
You boo players who used to play for rivals. You only boo players who used to play for you if they left under some sort of cloud (e.g. forcing a sale by refusing to train, slagging off the club after they leave etc.). Not this chap.
If Guehi leaves in the summer, having run his contract down, will we boo him?

I thought he ran his contract down so Liverpool got no fee?Frankly, Trent leaving smacks of tapping up - which I suspect was the actual reason for a nominal transfer fee. And whilst I don't particularly agree with booing ex players, I believe Alexander-Arnold made the wrong decision to leave. Similarly to how I believe Zaha made the wrong decision. However, you can't fully blame someone for preferring to live in Madrid than Liverpool really.
But, genuinely, he could have won more with Liverpool and played against a wide variety of competitive teams. Real Madrid will be like Celtic and Rangers in general in their domestic league and cup - there's little denying that.

They paid a fee in the end I believe. To play in the Club World Cup. I thought it was 18 million or something. As usual, this is all off the top of my head - so could easily be wrong. Rest assured, however, I can't see us getting anything for Guehi. I think the average, common all garden, free transfer when contract is up scenario there.I thought he ran his contract down so Liverpool got no fee?
Rather like Guehi will likely do with us in the summer.
Karma that we get nothing due to Liverpool's transfer shenanigans.

Maybe Chelsea are being proved correct with their long contracts. Maybe - but there are obviously other considerations. Really, the current situation should bring transfer fees and wages down. But we know it won't because of the big clubs. They've really done a number on even having much investment these days and cloaked that with words like "sustainability". With the hilarious debts all the big clubs have - it's a total joke.
