But you didn’t find out if you had anything in common. A person of your assumed intellect should be able to source a subject and discuss with him. You shouldn’t pity someone who has differing opinions, you should engage.
There are people I don’t have anything in common with who I talk to.
Especially when I want my dinner 😂😂😂

Yesterday possibly the most important Panorama investigation I have ever watched was aired. Headlined “Trump and the Tech Titans” it examined how Trump’s rise was bankrolled by the multi billionaires of Silicon Valley and the way they are remaking the US system in their own interest. It looked specifically at Peter Thiel, a PayPal founder, democracy sceptic and early endorser of Trump. He has been almost exclusively behind JD Vance’s rise and is said to control him. He is worth around $30 billion and believes that democracy is holding back technology and needs to be replaced by a billionaire class run autocracy. It is him, and others, who have convinced Trump to launch his own crypto in order to cash in. Theil now owns Palantir Technologies which produces data analysing software used by the military to identify and track individual targets. It’s being used by Ukraine, has probably been given to Israel and is being used by ICE to track those they believe are illegals.

These guys have no respect for the law, democracy or their constitution. I was unaware just how deeply embedded they, and their placemen, are inside the second Trump administration. This is corruption in plain sight which really ought to concern everyone.

So is the release of the BBC “story” about editing out Trump’s words deliberately timed to try to divert attention from this much, much more important one and yet another attempt by the right to discredit the BBC?

It’s absurd in 2025 that most people are more or less forced to fund the BBC. They should either take adverts or charge a fee to those that want to subscribe.
 
This is all a distraction. It’s irrelevant detail in the light of what’s actually happening, even whether true, or not.

It’s becoming increasingly obvious that Trump himself, and all his current stupidity, is a distraction. He isn’t well. His incoherence has become undeniable and there are credible sources suggesting he has dementia which is progressing so quickly he won’t soon be capable of maintaining any pretence of control.

For pretence it is. The real people driving the agenda are the likes of Stephen Miller and Peter Theil. They prepare the executive orders, Trump just signs them, issues the pardons, banks the bribes and then burbles about them when asked. At the appropriate moment he will resign, or be forced to, and Vance will take over. Vance being part of the team that’s engineering this.

The BBC know this. Which is why last night’s Panorama was made. Of course there will be denials, some from people here, but the evidence is all there, in full sight if you have the bottle to admit it.

No one wishing, or celebrating, the death of anyone, no matter how noxious they might be, would receive support from me. Criminals need to be brought to justice. The sick, like Trump, need to be cared for, even if they first need to be restrained.

You don’t talk to racist Dave! He talks at you! I tried having rational discussions with him when I first encountered him but soon learned not to waste my time. He talks over people, so people just ignore him, all except the unwary.

But Panorama are under investigation for falsifying Trump’s words at a rally- how can we trust that this programme hasn’t been doctored too?
