I know he failed to link electricity generation to wind farms etc and kept it linked to fossil fuels, hence the high prices

As Maggie Oliver said today - it ain't ever going to happen.
9,000 cases would need thousands more police and will take many years.
She quoted 70 bad'uns in the Midlands and so far that has taken dozens of officers over 6 years.
Khan is a liar though - dreadful individual.

They are looking for connections to rape gangs.

I would have thought that it should not take that long to whittle down the 9000 by excluding rape by family members e.g. fathers. There would be other non gang related incidents to be excluded as well.

That should then leave a core number that would need proper investigation as potentially gang related.

They will be frantically looking for rapes by non grooming gangs to prove a point and avoid the real issues. pro rata for population they will struggle to justify any number which doesn’t include grooming gangs.

What this has to do with grooming gangs only you will know! Nevertheless, it is important.

Our energy costs, as a proportion of our overall costs, need to be much higher than they have historically been. It’s the job of our politicians to lead people to understanding this need, whilst ensuring it happens because, as you demonstrate, they won’t do it themselves.

If we are to mitigate the impact of climate change sufficiently to enable future generations to have a chance of enjoying a decent life, without relying on the philosophy of Mr Micawber, then we must accept some pain ourselves.

The costs of renewal energy are falling dramatically with it now being generally much cheaper from new renewal sources than new fossil fuel ones. So whilst it’s absolutely true to blame current high bills on the cost of gas, which has has risen because of Putin’s war etc etc, ultimately transitioning to renewals makes both economic and environmental sense.
