Arsenal vs. Crystal Palace match thread

Mitchell is my favourite player. Stop. He has improved normously under glasner. Saka didn’t get a kick against him.
With all due respect it's irrelevant he's your favourite player and I didn't say anything about him defensively.
I've merely pointed out something thats been an issue with him for a number of seasons and that being that he isn't good enough going forward.

I’m just sitting here trying to think which Palace player had a good game??
I think that's due to arsenals style. They won't blow anyone away but they'll contain their opposition to nothing more than 6/10s. It makes for some pretty dull viewing but they won't care if it finally wins them the league. Can't say it looks convincing but no one else seems to want to challenge them this year. Think I'd rotate quite a few players for the Liverpool game and then be a bit more fresh for Brentford.

Lots of huff and puff without any clinical finishing.

Had to be in the script that Eze's class strike would separate the two teams.

On the plus side, great to see both set of fans and players show their appreciation towards Exe and Nketiah.

Mateta gave them a scare, many times. 1-0 in the backyard of the team at the top of the table......hardly that shameful. Its clear that Arteta decided to settle for 1-0....the coward.

i dont care about the loss today. Whereas Larnaca did hurt a lot.

I’m moaning more about him being selected in the first 11. At the moment he is too weak, gives the ball away and fouls unnecessary. He should be used as an impact sub. It’s more down to Glasner. I’m also annoyed that we brought those 3 subs on in the 90th minute. They needed at least 10 minutes before that, even if we let in a second whilst going for the equaliser. There was no time for them. He made mistakes last Thursday with team selection/balance. Hopefully he learns from these last games?
Last season he collected 12 Yellows.
Quick feet, flashes of skill but overall rather disappointing.
We have seen a much better version of Kamada in recent weeks, let us hope we witness the same with Pino.

We didn’t play that badly but our great start is now only a decent start and a loss is a loss. Probably a much better reflection of where the club truly is. Brentford now becomes a big game. We need to get a win and get some positive momentum back. Very easy for this to become a bad run if we don’t get going

The bubble was burst when we lost our unbeaten run, we've been poor since then. It's up to Glasner to now instil some confidence and motivation in a pedestrian looking group.
Rubbish we scored 3 against 2nd in the lge and the weather was hard to play good football in the other , we have lost by 1 in all 3 games , that's the problem with some supporters give them the world but want more , we just need tobe more clinical with the passing

Sadly all too predictable
- Arsenal don't play particularly well and still win with a set piece
- ex player Eze gets the winner
- our 3 best performers are the back 3

Other observations.
Sarr has been great for us, but his passing was way off today.
Pino was never going to get much of a chance against a quick and physical Timber and it was evident that Nketiah at least won a few free kicks and got into the penalty area when he came on.
This is not to write of the hard working Pino, but just to say he's not thriving in the physical environment at present and it's likely to be a while before he settles.
