At least we're experiencing all the enrichment and diversity the world has to offer. Thanks for that.

Should all be checked against the dole register.

I doubt the Somalian was 17.

the Ukrainian Lad was reportedly aged 17. Only been in the country for 3 or 4 days. The former stabbed the Latter more than a hundred times. Including in the eyes, the hands, everywhere.

Look at the spoiled votes. It's been bullshit for sure.I just don 't understand how ROI can vote in such a President, pro Hamas, pro open borders etc
The unrest can only escalate

I bet a quid she will use her platform to mouth offimagine Palace were electing a new manager next year. And the ballot offered only Alan Pardew or Frank de Boer. With Big Sam Allardyce having been removed due to a scandal.
and of course all the Eagles wanted Glasner. But alas he didnt get enough support from the existing Suits in the boardroom, so his name is not on the Ballot.
now you understand how a banana Republic works ? Its Pardew on a jobshare between Palace and Newcastle. Even though the football fans are going nuts about it. And Glasner stays out in the cold.
The irish Presidential election broke all records for a low turnout. It offered either
- a Leftie with some dubious history
or
- a Government appointee insider...heather Humphreys, not a strong candidate.
Almost nobody voted for the Government appointee...Heather Humphreys. The level of protest-votes was also record breaking. 'spoil your ballot' was a campaign that sent a clear feckoff to our Politicians.
The Leftie won.....Catherine Connolly, but only because there was no real alternative. She will now become President with a record breaking Low Tally of votes. Its kinda like somebody becoming class monitor cos there was no other real opposition.
The Government are hurt by this.....good. The public are angry they didnt get a proper choice. This new Lady is a bit of a 'RA head and hates the Brits - she is friendly with Sinn Fein.
Its lose-lose all around. Palestine flags a go go.
However, the President of Ireland is only a titular job. Fairly similar to the UK monarch......zero Political power and a job eating cake, greeting foreign dignitaries, attending sporting events, and smiling for the cameras. A Head of State whose job is easier than than operating a coffee-machine. So long as you dont go rogue, like Lineker, and start mouthing off about everything.....shutup and eat the cake.

Every other candidate that wasn't a looney lefty was blocked from the ballot.I just don 't understand how ROI can vote in such a President, pro Hamas, pro open borders etc

As mentioned elsewhere I think, Ireland ranks highly in terms of economic wellbeing, second to Luxembourg. But struggling polically, which from a distance seems strange?Every other candidate that wasn't a looney lefty was blocked from the ballot.
Yesterday's election is why even though I am a Republican I would keep our monarchy.imagine Palace were electing a new manager next year. And the ballot offered only Alan Pardew or Frank de Boer. With Big Sam Allardyce having been removed due to a scandal.

there is more to Politics than wealth-creation. The town of Dundrum, Co Tipperary got more asylum seekers than its total previous population. So you will forget about your nice house and nice car. You are furious your daughters cannot safely walk the streets.Ireland ranks highly in terms of economic wellbeing, second to Luxembourg. But struggling polically, which from a distance seems strange?

Sorry that's what I meant, doing well economically while struggling politically or so it seems from a distancethere is more to Politics than wealth-creation. The town of Dundrum, Co Tipperary got more asylum seekers than its total previous population. So you will forget about your nice house and nice car. You are furious your daughters cannot safely walk the streets.
Meanwhile, our new President will have an ideology very similar to Sadiq Khan....of course , apart from her overt hostility toward the Brits.

Who is Catherine Connolly, Ireland's next president?
The left has united behind new independent president Catherine Connolly, a self-proclaimed "underdog" who has promised to be "a voice for peace".news.sky.com
