I've never understood this hate crime laws. The same people who demand to be treated as equals (fair enough) then demand special treatment under the law.

The law should treat all people fairly, victor and perp regardless of gender, religion etc. There is no need to have so called hate crimes just laws that protect us all.

It does. Crimes motivated by hatred can receive greater punishments in order to discourage hatred based on prejudices. It’s not complicated.

Christianophobia exists and falls into exactly the same hate crime category as Islamophobia.

Neither Rushdie nor Dawkins were persecuted for being Christian though. Making jokes is not criminal, whatever is the subject.

say, a) a straight white Nigel ? or b) one of the untouchable Sacred-Cows of Lib-Left Globalism ?

In the event of acrimony, I would be reluctant to get into a fight with the former and would certainly run away from the latter - even if they were only armed with a pink feather-duster.

Sir Sadiq Khan is obviously someone who cares about Londoners and the world at large,stopping toxic emissions in London has done no end of good for Londoners and the wildlife that we still have. He will be held up as a visionary and held in high esteem by future generations, sadly disparaged by "white van man" culture who cannot see further than the next pint.

There are so many videos of our "esteemed" mayor avoiding giving answers, waving his hands and gesturing and behaving like a toddler when facing these questions.

the worst one is when a lady asked him a serious question and he just ignores her and starts reading a book. The lady points out that if her children behaved so rudely she'd send them to their rooms.

The man is a disgrace in how he treats people and behaves!!
