UEFA Conference League Dynamo Kyiv v Palace Match Thread

I actually thought the first yellow was a good one to concede. It stopped a break away from them and he took one for the team.
Second one is another matter !!
Perhaps I need to see it again but I thought it was a harsh red, not every foul is a booking but perhaps in Europe it’ll be stricter.
Eddie the eagle has been fantastic these three appearances since his injury, it feels like he is more of a leader now using his experience.
Kamada is a delight to watch now, oozing confidence.
Rio Cardines didn’t get much time but could he be the back up option to Munoz? I really hope so
What a night and the fans were superb all game

They showed more at the end. We just outplayed them really. I've seen Premier League opponents play worse but us still struggle to put them away. Nketiah is really showing some pace and awareness now. Knew he would be fast but he's making the runs now. Kamada is exactly right. Wharton coming back to his best. Sarr will be back fit for Everton by the looks of it. It'll be Kamada Wharton starting with Pino and Sarr as the two other attackers. Not quite as worried about Everton as I was. This didn't tire us much, thankfully.

Agree all round.

Our ‘golden era’ keeps getting… goldener???

That can’t be a word, surely? 😆

Incredibly comfortable game considering the opposition had such a good domestic record.
We did what had to be done and Henderson barely made a save all night.

Sosa worries me a bit. He needs more game time. Getting sent off in Europe was a bit stupid since that is where he is likely to get minutes. I guess Mitchell will have to play next time.
Arguably that was our toughest game as they are in Pot 2 (like us) and AZ (pot 1) is at home. May give Devenney a start against Lamarca, the Cypriot team, and see how he does

Even down to ten we weren’t really troubled by them. That aside it was pretty much perfect, bit of rotation and rest for some key players going forward.

The centre backs played 90 minutes but didn’t look pushed. Munoz is a machine. If Hughes hasn’t got a knock we’ll go into Sunday as refreshed as we could be.

I didnt think the second yellow was warranted. Was an ordinary tackle. Harsh card. That being said was good to see 10 of Palace vs 11 Dynamo Kiev. We showed well.

Echo this
First and foremost- credit to all those who went. A huge effort and away end looked amazing.
Ironic to see Marc with “Palace for Life” across his chest - if only!!
Great away win at difficult place and on we go.
Was remarking that last few games our scorers have been subs and full backs.
Cmon midfield - Hughes, Wharton, Kamada = zero
Eddie hitting form is good as beloved JP needs some competition.
Thought Wharton was ordinary tbh.
And i know Kamada getting praise lately but still dont see it.

As for Sosa? Thats all he did - 2 loose tackles.
Again, well done those who went and you did us all proud.
I agree with the first part, they need to chip in with goals but the rest of the team (including the centre backs) have but I think Kamada has been very good and Wharton looked fully recovered from injury and class tonight.

Glasner reports Hughes had a dead leg, will need treatment but hopes he will be ready and available for Everton

If anyone has photos of Palace fans wearing or carrying the Ukraine flag or colours as a show of solidarity, I would love to see them. To a couple of Polish- and Ukrainian-American friends, I intend to send this clip of Palace fans singing "There were 9 Russian drones in the air, and Jean-Phillipe Mateta shot them down." I'd love to include a photo to celebrate our club's spirited, enlightened supporters.
