Crystal Palace vs. Liverpool match thread

Refwatch this morning on Salah's handball.
Gallagher: It's inconclusive. I can't tell if he's handled the ball.
Bothroyd: Definitely handled the ball and deflected it away from the defender (Richards).

Nice to see there are some constants in life.
The more I hear Gallagher speak the more i believe he needs to be removed from punditry. Almost everything he says is in defense of refereeeing decisions, var and/or rules which in my opinion are severely outdated. So many bad calls have been made already this season after just 6 gameweeks. Maybe the controversy is good as it gives them something to yap about for an hour every week.

He seems to be getting more rattled week by week by Jay Bothroyd pointing out the holes in his logic.
Wonder if he now regrets ditching his Dublin accent for this weird hybrid thing he uses.

With the greatest of respect Mark Clattenburg never made any such comment.
All he asserted was that the corner should not have been awarded and at present VAR cannot interfere in an incorrect corner being awarded.
And with the greatest conceivable respect, that would have meant no corner, no goal.

It will be interesting to see if other teams pick up on how we played them?
All they need is a couple of quick forward players and coordination between them and the ball player from the midfield or the back, easily sorted on the training pitch. I think OG mentioned their high line in one of his recent interviews.

I am far from convinced that Virgil Van Dijk is as fleet of foot as he was before he sustained that significant injury.
Konate's qualities lie with his physical strength and his defending in 1 v 1 situations. He was well below par on Saturday.

In other words "if I had a doubt I wouldn't give Palace a corner. At the other end I would though"

Troy Deeney has picked his team of the week and has Tyrick Mitchell in the side but added that Liverpool "were not great". Failing to recognise Palace' contribution to the win!
