C'mon Steve.......nail Ollie down before it's too late!

If we win FA cup & UEFA Conference finish top 6 in PL then I can see him extending another. Otherwise, I think he will be off to pastures new , it will be German club , can't see him going to PL club, I think he respects our club and fans too much

Man U play the same system as us, they’re just not very good at it 🤣

Man U would is a bit of a worry, he wont last much longer and as you said they play the same formation. Even given the mess they are its a hard job to say no to.

Lets hope Jim is sick of 343 and wants a manger who plays a different way!

If a better job offer comes along, he'll be off. That's life.
Glasner thinks differently to most people which makes him unpredictable and adds to his success.

This is the exact reason why I think (and hope) he will surprise a few people and sign a new contract at Palace. I could be wrong of course but to say 'If a better job comes up he's off' is already proven rubbish. Since joining Palace he has turned down Bayern and Liepsig and only about a month ago ruled himself out of the Leverkusen job. All 3 of those jobs may well be viewed as a 'better job' than Palace by an Austrian wouldn't you say?

It is the model of plausibility that he is a principled gentleman who firmly believes in honouring a contract.

I think if we made Champions League (unlikely) he would probably stay for that campaign. Winning the Conference League and qualifying for Europa might just do it if Palace invested more in players. But even then, he is already in his 50s and stock very high so if an established big club came in for him it would be hard to resist

The SSN guy that reports a lot on Palace news seems to have the inside track on what is going on. He mentioned a while back that new DoF Matt Hobbs first task was to first do all necessary to try and get Glasner tied down and if this cannot be done then work needs to start on identifying a successor. He also said that (should Glasner stay) they hope to be able to announce something before Christmas. This makes sense as they will need time to find his replacement if its a no.

I'm optimistic. Glasner has said in the past its not about money or even being flooded with quality new players. Its about having a plan/goal that everyone is on board with. one that everyone is working towards. As I mentioned previously on another thread, this could be our 'Brian Clough moment'. Sign this guy up on a long term deal and give him everything in the club's power to provide and he could bring the kind of success Palace fans have only dreamt of

I agree we probably need CL football for him to realistically stay. He will want to test himself against the best

And Playing Casimero full stop, is a problem as well

And their wingbacks aren't the best suited either

And at least one of their centre backs could do with an upgrade

So to play the formation correctly they are potentially good on a front 3 and just need two centre midfielders, two wing backs, one centre back and a really good goalkeeper would help.

For Man U another £500m should do it. Then sack Amorin when it still doesn't work and get a new guy in who wants to play 4-4-2

And call themselves Crystal Palace 🤣

They need someone like Wan Bissaka, Henderson. Hang on.......

Their players are superb. Most could walk into our side.

Ours are largely middle weights. Good but very mid table.

It is the tune the coaching staff have got out of them which makes our team world beaters and their team lower mid table.

Hence the thread.

No, similar to Roy at Liverpool.
We do cede possession but are no longer the low block counter attacking team.

We are a mid block team who regularly attack.

Man Utd try that but have no cohesive team unity and discipline to execute it.

I am not sure even Glasner can cure those ills. His CV may be toxic if he went there. Although their players seem to recall why United paid such a price for them... but only after they leave.

I'd like to see you justify that. especially in our formation

I'd take Fernandez - minus his attitude - over Pino and probably Yoro over Richards. At a stretch, Mainoo to partner Wharton but he would need to show he can improve athletically
That's it
