Israel v Hamas

Are you seriously suggesting that Hamas do not control Gaza because there has not been any election sine the last one which Hamas won on a destroy Israel ticket

If you are happy to state that Hamas need to be eradicated ( without qualification ) then I can give some time to what you post.

The problem here is that jew haters will not accept that if Israel is not attacked from Gaza then it has no need to expend massive resources on a military defence.
Please identify who these people are.

Hamas narrowly beat Fatah in the 2006 election with about 45%. That is, less than half at what must have been their most popular. period Who knows if their popularity and thus mandate has risen or fallen in the following 19 years. I am not sure MORI have conducted a verifiable poll.

Anyway, voting for them 2 decades ago does not justify execution by drone.
Were they financed by Iran back then I wonder?

Trump yesterday, saying Peace was close. It's all in the detail. He also said the West Bank would remain Palestinian. The difficulty I see, is that Israeli's were already buying vacant/destroyed plots of Palestinian land in the first year of the 'war' in the West bank.
One would hope at least the old boundaries are respected, and no different borders are created.
And fear not, Tony Blair is being touted as a temporary leader of a new Palestinian Authority , which HAMAS will play no part in.
That's the theory, but Netanyahu seems a bit of a loose canon.
And who is going to pay for the re-building of Gaza and the West Bank ?

Iraq mkii

People who hate jews, clue is in the words
I said identify them if they are on this site or group them if they are not.

If it helps, there has been a rise of antisemitism, probably in reaction to the current actions of Israel. I have no evidence to support this given pointless sensitivities over gathering data, but I suspect that has overwhelmingly come from Muslims.

If it also helps, those like me who object to Israel's actions on purely humanitarian grounds object to Israel's genocide and ethnic cleansing regardless of country or creed.

I think that's fair enough, being against a government isn't some pathological hatred of a people because of ethnicity. Many Jews hold your position as well.

The left though only care about the ethnic cleansing of the 'other', I look at London today for example, and anyone who tells me that hasn't been a form of ongoing ethnic cleansing isn't someone I believe.

No one was asked....no one given a choice.

Though I accept the method is radically different of one being war and other demographic shift.....However the end result will be the same.

As will be the power outcomes in Gaza, right or wrong.

I think if you're on the right the diagnoses is very simple.

You should be against everyone who is against the core of your ideas, but more importantly actively works against it.....side issues are acceptable disagreement.

That's whatever their ethnicity, white, black, Jewish, Muslim, Asian (of any type).

There should be no 'chosen people' when it comes to who hates you.....Owen Jones to George Soros to Sadiq Khan.

Many Jews do share the view which is not surprising given they are informed by generations of suffering similar acts.

However, many Israeli's object to the actions wholly based on the risk to the remaining hostages. They care not a fig for the Palestinians.

By "left" you presumably mean the so-called "liberal elites"; and those who largely control the economy who benefit from the influx of cheap and willing labour?

The latter are hardly left.

And there are many on the real "left" - especially those on the ultra end - who are largely lock-step with you on immigration. Chatting to some hard left, militant union type, I suspect you will be appalled by how many views you share!

With their young population and "re-education" in the schools I imagine they were very popular, especially after Oct 7.

I'm currently watching Steeleys favourite film.* Schindler's List, it's on iPlayer atm

The UN is useless, a waste of time and money, should be abolished.
100%, and it's easy, stop the funding of the thousands with their heads in the UN trough.

My experience in Asia is anytime you meet a UN official, and I have met quite a few, they have very high remuneration and package, and often are DEI hires who could not get a decent job in the private sector
