US Politics

Genuine antisemites have been "right" since time immemorial (and still are).

And nutters with guns were and are invariably far right.

The most you got from genuine lefties in Anglo Saxon nations was the odd riot, people chaining themselves to stuff and some angry misguided words slurred in some smoke-filled boozer.

When are you suggesting that subverted?
I'm not sure what that has to do with my post.

But anyway. What data do you have to support this claim?

Not a good week for French Presidents I’m hearing.

Macron was upset that his motorcade was held up by Trump in New York, yup he got Trumped.

I doubt the locals will have much sympathy even though it is a Democrat town.

Politicians and their motorcades holding up traffic in NY is the bane of just about every New Yorker regardless of how they vote. And with the UN being based there you get bet there are a lot of them.

So I guess most New Yorkers will have a smirk and a ha ha, now you know how the rest of us feel.

To a new York traffic cop: Mon Dieu, Savez-vous qui je suis ? (do you now who I am)
"Yeah aint you that cheese eating surrender monkey, now get back in your limo here comes the big guy."

No American, no French person and certainly no one else is going to care what happens to Macron. He's a parody of current politics whilst being too stupid to know. He represents his nation of cuckolds excellently. Living off their enemy's subsidies so that they can live like Vichy all over again. Oblivious.
But have a riot when the Germans won't cough up.

And he takes it up the derrière from his wife.

Not nearly as upset as Trump got because he had to walk up an escalator that stopped because his own videographer was going up it the wrong way round or that his auto prompt failed whilst being operated by his own people. Yet he blamed the UN for both.

Macron is at least Presidential. Trump is just an embarrassment.

-Downloaded list of DHS facilities
-Repeated searches of the Charlie Kirk shooting
-Tracked ICE agent movements through apps
-Had a handwritten note saying, "Hopefully this will give ICE agents real terror."

But yes the usual suspects will deny that this is a radical leftist lunatic....🤷🏻‍♂️ And will eventually blame Trump 🤣

What's wrong with these American gunmen, they always miss the target. Not exactly Annie Oakley. This latest one wanted to shoot the Ice people and shot the detainees.

I wasn't going to mention his sexuality - as it's the least of his and Starmer's worries really. I mean, at least they're getting it every night. Just not in the way we would find pleasurable. But there's plenty who would these days. Fair play to them both in an awkward kind of way.

Well, in a way I agree with you but fundamentally.....if it's true....Then I would differ.

Then again I was being tongue in cheek....I mean who knows whether that skeleton Macron is walking about with is a femme or not. It doesn't really change anything.

But if the 'she' is actually a 'he' then it's the deliberate false betrayal of them as a couple and of Macron as a politician that I would heavily object to....and would righly be a big scandal. When you go into public office I don't think it's acceptable to lie about your personal life is such a fundamental way.

You didn’t specify so nice swerve and it’s clear it’s longer here in good old Blighty.
What a s*** hole it’s become !
We most certainly do listen to the advice from science much more here than does the Trump administration. Thank goodness for that. You do realise Trump has pulled the USA out of the WHO and is no longer providing funds. The possibility of another pandemic is very real, yet he listens to idiots like Kennedy rather than the science.

James Comey former head of the FBI is indicted on 2 charges.

The BBC is at great pains to point out that Trump went after him and the prosecutor is a Trump ally.

As I and others have repeatedly said on this thread the US justice system is open to political manipulation. The Democrats took at an injunction against Trump's Mexican border policy in Hawaii instead of Arizona, this is know as judge shopping.

No doubt this case was raised in Virginia because Trump believes this is his best chance.

You can indict a ham sandwich, what matters is the actual trial. If he is guilty then he deserves to be punished they are serious charges.

A prosecutor doesn't have to use a grand jury to indict someone, however the defence would likely request a judge dismiss the charges due to lack of evidence. So the prosecutor then runs the risk of coming up against an unfriendly judge and falling at the first hurdle.

It would be far harder for a judge to dismiss an indictment from a Grand Jury as it undermines the process, even if the judge is sceptical.
