Did I? I don't recall that. We supply Qatar and Saudi, not Israel. They get their weapons from the USA and home industries.

If your opinion is that people should not post on here unless they are an expert on the topic from every angle then no one would ever post, including you.

The exception would be Wisbech Eagle who is an expert on everything and Steeleye 20 if the topic was jew hate and the destruction of Israel

Earlier reports said HAMAS were telling fighters in Gaza to prepare for Street fighting. The BBC has since removed this, or tucked it away.
It seemed an odd call to arms , for HAMAS to put all their fighters in direct line of Israeli tanks, missiles, exploding remote control vehicles, and bombs. Israel wouldn't engage in street fighting, when it suits their agenda to raze the city to the ground.
My thoughts were for civilians/hostages, inevitably getting caught in the fire fight, but likely being used by HAMAS as human shields.
But if there was a realistic chance of inflicting huge losses on HAMAS, then Israel would obviously take it.
It just seemed a strange strategy from HAMAS.

"Thousands of Palestinian families have continued to flee south along the coastal al-Rashid road, the only route currently permitted by the Israeli military. The UN estimated on Tuesday that at least 321,000 people have fled south since mid-August. The IDF puts the total figure at 640,000."

Saturn will have to explain why up to ten times the casualty figure have been allowed to escape the IDF genocide.

Do you think something is only a genocide if 100% of people are killed? Is that seriously the point you're making? 🤣
 
Genocide is the intentional destruction of a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group, in whole or in part, by acts such as killing, causing serious harm, inflicting conditions of life intended to bring about physical destruction, preventing births, or forcibly transferring children to another group. This legal definition comes from Article II of the United Nations' Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (1948).

This is exactly what Hamas want to do to Israel.

Israel wants to live in peace and not be attacked by those wanting to destroy them as happened Oct 7th.

As far as I am aware there is no number percentage of death that triggers a genocide definition

Those in Gaza who do not support Hamas need to do something to help themselves, but I suspect many do support Hamas

Spindle inventing a position for me again - shock!

I think it's a genocide as in my opinion it meets the definition which has been shared above - a view shared by nearly every genocide scholar and expert in the world, including Amos Goldberg who is an Israeli Holocaust historian and Professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Genocide is a heavy term let's not dilute it. Israel is defending itself, not targeting a group for extinction.

Even scholars get it wrong sometimes.
