The Man yesterday went in front of a court and is now serving a prison sentence,many of us just let justice take its course,do not punch polieman and do not damage police cars. It must be remembered that most immigrants do not get jailed for such bad behaviour.

You said it. They get excused and let off. You need to take a long look at yourself.
 
I have been impressed by the determination shown by Ed Davey this week to call out the hypocrisy of Reform in defending the hijacking of our national flag and it’s use by obvious xenophobes and pseudo patriots to divide us still further.

Reclaiming the flag for all of us, and not just a minority, is a strong message and probable vote winner.

He also reached out to “one nation Tories”, like me, who see the Conservatives under Badenoch drifting further and further to the right in an ever more pointless attempt to thwart Farage. That could also be a vote winner.

They obviously won’t win the next election but they could be critical in how a coalition is formed.

So atm if I raise a St George cross or Union Jack I’m a racist minority but if others do it they’re not. Yup logic there !!!

You’re impressed by Ed Davey. Explains a lot. You are no Tory and I wouldn’t stand under our flag if our lives depended on it. I’d separate myself from you.

It’s ok if you’re a certain class, like at Wimbledon or the Henley Regatta. I don’t know why this pest frequents these boards. As each day passes I detest his type more and more.
 
I remember over twenty years ago.....before the Tories were the 'We Love Tony Blair' party....The Tories would talk of a 'bonfire of the Quangos'.....You didn't hear much of that from their leadership in that 14 years.....In fact they were bullied and pushed around by the civil service. And Hunt and Hague and others were Blair fan-boys conducting nauseating smiley sit downs with him.

Thatcher said she would cut them back, she never did because they are too useful.

It's patronage on a vast scale. Jobs for the boys and girls, the elite. What really sticks in my craw is that they are no bloody good.

OFWAT - protects the water companies not the customer.
OFGEN - protects the power companies not...
OFCOM - Protects the media not....

We should have a new Quango for the people we can call it F*CKOFF
