West Ham v Crystal Palace Match Thread

I’ve been searching and seen nothing yet. This is a big moment, if he needs an op it’s massive.
Good news is Sarr should be back now

Add in a superb cameo from Nketiah against WHU.

Uche and Esse hopefully working this week on tactics / positioning. By October / November we could have an exciting attack again

Yep, as you said Sarr and Nketiah would soften the blow. But really hope he's ok.

Clearly want Pino to be ok. Over time he could be a very good player for us. If Sarr is back that is a big lift though. At this stage having him back is probably a bigger positive then Pino being out is a negative

It's mad where we are in the league without even being at our best. Hopefully, this is a sign that we are in for an amazing season. It's been a similar story for Liverpool (albeit they've won all of their games), so this weekend's title-deciding match could be interesting 🙂

Certainly in his time at Palace most of his cards come under the "taking one for the team" related fouls to stop the opposition breaking through. He rarely get's booked for a needless foul such as time wasting, arguing back to the referee or dissent.
It's the professional shirt pull or obstruction; but he is always caught.

Perhaps next summer he should be sent to boot camp in Argentina to learn how to properly disguise the professional foul.

No you need to wear a Liverpool shirt for that

You missed out Norman Hunter: the dirtiest of them all.
True but that Leeds team had a line up of them including Billy Bremner, Jack Charlton and Johnny Giles with Bobby Collins before and Gordon McQueen after.
Special mention for John McGrath and Hugh Fisher at Southampton who were brutal.

Peter Rodriguez and Terry Paine at Southampton too.
Paine had a technique of letting the ball run just far enough ahead of him to tempt the opponent at which point Paine would hit him with an over the top tackle.
Of the Leeds team referred to the only 'clean' player was Eddie Gray who never engaged in the rough stuff.

Muscat was the dirtiest Palace player I've seen.
I didn't like him and am surprised that at one stage Coppell selected him taking into account that Coppell himself had his career ended by a bad tackle.

Which Saints player was it who crocked Peter Taylor in the FA Cup semi?
