There really are a lot of undiagnosed people with mental issues 'out there'.
Not just America, but everywhere.
We need many more secure units for people to be treated.

I would not!

I would have said that at least he tried. Just as when, during the Covid crisis, he was persuaded to try to lead the whole nation rather than follow his instincts and divide it.

I am not attempting to politicise the event. It was unarguably and indefensibly political. I am just pointing that out.
OK. Mark this claim because it will probably get lost in the blizzard of complimentary posts about what he says and does.

You claim to hate the ideas not the people yet your response continues have venom for Trump and the rest of us while sidestepping the lefts selective outrage.....again!

Erika Kirks dignity exposes your sanctimonious lecture.

You just still can’t see past the hate you claim to reject.
As I have said here many times I don’t hate Trump. I feel sorry for him. He must be incredibly lonely. I am no psychiatrist but those who are have often opined he is unwell. I hate his divisive politics. His stupid attitude towards the “left” and his open hatred of anyone who doesn’t agree with him, let alone criticises him, is being matched by your own. It’s naive, and ridiculous.

Erika Kirk has indeed shown dignity. So too did her late husband. Unfortunately though his politics didn’t. They were founded in the attitudes of the fundamentalist branch of evangelical Christianity known as Christian Nationalism. Something that rejects the separation of Church and State which the USA is founded upon. Christian Nationalism is both a religious and political movement that sees no boundaries between both. I am not alone in seeing it as dangerous:-

I don’t hate these people. I just think they are wrong. They are free to live their own lives in whichever way they wish but must respect their Constitution and not attempt to interfere in the lives of others.

It seems to me there are more people making diagnoses they are completely unqualified to make.

We should give thanks that they are just making them in a closed echo chamber where no one that matters can hear them. If it makes their own disorders a little less painful it’s all to the good.

Erika Kirks dignity stands in contrast to your selective critique of Christian Nationalism, ignoring the lefts own ideological overreaches. You claim to reject hate, but your own words betrays you 👍🏻

That’s good to know. The broadcaster is showing some common sense and some sphericals.

Now let’s see how the threats pile up.

It won’t hurt his ratings. Trump will be both furious and jealous.

Let’s hope a British broadcaster picks up the show.
Doubt his show would be successful here - anyone who wants to watch uninterrupted Trump bashing already has Bill Maher who is more balanced in his approach.

There’s nothing remotely selective about my criticism. It’s total. There’s nothing good about Christian Nationalism. It’s a movement that threatens us. It needs to be defeated. Not by hate. By love and better arguments.

I noticed, by the way, that not only was the Utah Governor, Spencer Cox not on the list of speakers at the Kirk “memorial” he wasn’t even there. In his own State! Don’t you think that’s very strange? And very, very disturbing. He calls for peace and reconciliation but the organisers don’t want that to be heard. They only want hatred and division.

You know what is far more threatening to a Christian country? Islamic expansion.

Your criticism of Christian Nationalism conveniently sidesteps the lefts own divisive ideologies, proving my point on your selective outrage.

Coxs absence is curious, but your leap to hatred and division is just more sanctimonious spin. 🥱

And btw we seen the strength of Christianity last night. Rather than riot and loot and burn cities they came together to pray and celebrate a life peacefully. A far cry from the radical left after a criminal died over a drug overdose and what we are seeing in Milan today.

You accuse me of sidestepping by sidestepping the criticism and diverting onto your obsession with the imaginary sins of the left! You really are something else! Can you truly not see how ridiculously hypocritical that is?

If you think that yesterday’s “memorial” was peaceful I wouldn’t want to see anything you thought raucous! It was like a Trump rally at times.

Interesting
It is!

It demonstrates how stupid Kennedy is and how stupid Trump was to appoint him. This is the level of the leadership they now have in the USA. They are putting conspiracy theorists in charge of scientific decision making. It’s crazy.

It will frighten women unnecessarily from taking a well understood pain relief that there is absolutely no clinical evidence for any doubt about.

Your obsession with painting the left as saints while demonising Christian Nationalism is peak hypocrisy. 👍🏻

The memorial was a prayerful tribute, not a Trump rally. I guess your lens only sees what fits your narrative.
