Immigration

The public and politics revolves round the emotional small boats issue, but this is a very small amount.

The real numbers are in legal migration, and this is falling rapidly from the tory excess of +700k in 2023.

At the next election immigration could well be a bonus for labour.

😎
A steady trickle will become a torrent.
Reducing an unacceptable number down to a lower unacceptable number is hardly a great achievement.
Labour cannot be trusted.

We need a leadership that prioritises the welfare of British people over wokery and immigrants.

These tossers bend over backwards scuppering ANY deportation. Ultimately it'll lead to a stronger, more viscious, policy becoming law that these defenders will go apeshit about.

The HRA is no longer fit for purpose

I don't really understand why people are so desperate to get out of France? France can't provide humanitarian aid?
Asylum seeking is not going to wherever you want to go. It's about being safe from harm. Which is also not happening if someone gets on a crappy boat.
That is the basic point that gets ignored in all of this.
Now, if someone flies to the UK because they had to, that's different.
Simply choosing means there's a reason other than seeking asylum. It's the only possible reason. Unless other countries are not providing what they should - which would be an EU problem leading to fines etc for those countries.

None of this even seems to be mentioned anymore.

I agree but having just spent two weeks in France trying to deal with the different levels of beaurocracy I don't understand why anyone would want to stay there at all.

Apparently the migrants can choose which country they want to claim asylum in, and so the original definition of fleeing to a safe country has obviously been 'moved' to suit their requirements, not ours.
Anyway, I'm going to try the same action and turn up at the gates of Downing Street to demand that I can claim asylum at No.10...I'll let you know how I get on.

Try the Ecuadorian embassy.

'Parts of Kent are becoming unrecognisable' - Farage.

Really, not according to Reform-led Kent County Council.

We haven't got enough, tell Labour to get us more!

Imagine actually being run by them.

🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

Those are specific visas FFS. Not the wankers that pile over on boats.

Clueless

Could you be any more disingenuous?

Yeah, you probably could.

No.10 is an asylum
