Tommy Robinson

The BBC coverage of today's demonstration is laughable. The say there are 100,000 - there are more. They say there has been 'significant aggression' but they have only arrested 9 people. They say there are 5,000 counter-protestors - there are far fewer, some hundreds perhaps.

reminds me of them describing the Notting Hill carnival as 'mostly peaceful'

Marching through Central London. Some are saying its the biggest Political demo crowd, Ever.
Its certainly bigger than The Peasants Revolt. And, Watt Tyler, the leader of that demo was stabbed by the Mayor of London.

And this week, we have seen the surname Tyler going from hero to zero.
Bigger than 80's CND? Around a million.

BBC calling it a 'Tommy Robinson rally', rather than it's actual name, "Unite the Kingdom". Dozens of officers injured they say, and play down the numbers. Their article is a long tirade of descriptions of chaos and violence, talking up the 25 arrests.

Notting Hill though:
This year's Notting Hill Carnival had "far fewer" incidents

Yeah, fewer than the 8 stabbings and multiple sexual assaults, and 423 arrests.

I'll never pay these c**** a licence fee.

EDIT. Guardian calls it a "Far Right Rally". This language is highly offensive.

And this kind of rhetoric

Far right’s show of force leaves Met desperately kettling counter-protesters

Police almost overwhelmed by brawlers whipped up by Tommy Robinson and his guest demagogues

Total propaganda

The real British come out:

According to media sources we can describe as 'oppositional' probably somewhere between 110 and 150 thousand attend a protest rally that has received no mainstream coverage nor support.....utterly dwarfing the state sponsored counter groups.

Tommy Robinson organised it and let's not forget how certain posters on here have suggested that he's an extremist with no real support in the country.

No, they are the extremists with no real support in the country. They would receive nothing like this support.

Indeed, this is how the BBC portrayed the Notting Hill Carnival.

which arrests were for silently standing and praying ? and which were for something a little more hardcore ?

we all know this. There are Arrests and then there are Arrests. Newspaper headline "man arrested on highstreet".....shock horror.

26 arrests but don’t worry they will knock down a few doors this week and find extra spaces in jail for the far right protesters.
Couldn’t make this s*** up. If it was a million then that is less than .0025% arrest rate or less, where by the terrorists arrested the other week was about 70%.

It was no where near the 3 Million SYL is claiming however, it was also nowhere near the 110K that a lot of outlets are trying to report / portray.

I travelled through the Waterloo area yesterday on the way to the game as London Bridge routes had engineering works and I had to go via Clapham Junction. The whole area was absolutely heaving. It wasn’t just the main route. It was all the side streets and the streets and market areas off those too.

I worked in public order for over 35 years, predominantly on the ground but also in SOR (The Lambeth Control Room). Bear in mind back in the day we used to fit around 80,000 people in T Square alone for New Years Eve, some years even more. That was before they started limiting it to 20,000 for safety reasons and put the fireworks display on the River Thames. The aerial footage from yesterday of the route alone gives you some idea of the huge numbers who attended but it doesn’t give the full picture of the thousands on the periphery and in venues in the general area.

you are reminding me of Ireland now. Whenever Patriots plan a big demo, by miracle all the Public Transport system ( to the Demo) fails. Its a mystery why ?

And on a different day ? some stupid contrived Lefty march ? trains & buses a go-go.

Norwood junction was closed for ‘engineering works’
The only engineering was to limit the people who could attend the march.
This hmg will stop at nothing to f*** us up.

I was surprised by the numbers that turned out. And it maybe seems the police were politically-prepped with riot gear. and horses. Then again, with such large numbers , you'll always get those out for a ruck - and not just those in uniform 🙂

Lot of other stories in the news to push unsettling issues away. Trumps state visit, boxing

Because the Mandelson appointment was always just a time-bomb. And Tommy Robinson is just out to cause a riot.
Look out, a sick kid has been flown from Gaza to the UK for treatment, ahhhh
(jumping all the NHS queues).

Insightful and intelligent as ever, our 'Moron Watchdog'. hehe
Insightful? Understanding why we have or why we need nuclear weapons?

It should be obvious. Maybe in your mind, we can ignore the harsh realities of humanity and all hold hands.

I love nothing more than pulling the wings off of smug pseudo intellectual lefties.
Do come back for another round.
