Even with MG missing out on his move there might be grounds for a new captain, depending on how the next few days go.
Two candidates stick out, because:
1. They are first team regulars
2. Decent injury record
3. Leaders on the pitch
4. Seem to be popular with team mates and the fans
5. "Get" the club (eg buying crowd members drinks or putting a few quid behind the bar; helping with tifo money, making all the right noises in interviews).
Those two are Lacroix and Henderson.
