Marc Guéhi

Great respect for what Parish has done for Palace in the time he has had the reins, but this situation has to be seen as a massive blunder. In reality there was a whole year to consider what to do to resolve the Guehi, question, months of the window have past by ,and the only question to ask is, how the hell have you let this total mess happen.? We can not know but can suspect that OG is already asking Parish, that question.

Lots of reports the deal is done to Liverpool but it's on hold until we get replacement.

I wonder if they tried saying to Liverpool you can have him without addons but you loan him back for this season this is what we did with Wilf.

Every year the Palace department which handles these feels even more amateur or SP is a control freak which is what the issue is too much micromanaging.

The business model he said is like the Chelsea model but we are not even able to do that because we are not bring through players we keep buying.

Guehi wasn't cheap we are making very little of him and the team getting him is getting him for a bargain price.

This model wont get top managers and the future can not be so bright when OG leaves because who will be willing to put up with this every year.

We need to move beyond this want to stay in the league every year.
Guehi was £18m and we've had 4 years out of one of the best defenders in England for 50 grand a week.

Cheap he most certainly was.

Parish just pull out the deal, stick your hands up and say you've got it wrong this window and because of that, Guehi will have to go on a free and the club have lost out on 35 mill.
Agreed..!!

It’s worse than that Guehi could have gone to Newcastle for £70M last summer and then we could have afforded a Diomande as replacement..

No-one can persuade me otherwise - this window has been a complete shambles, culminating in todays complete fiasco..!!

I still cannot believe that SP in his wildest dreams thought that a loan for Brighton’s 5th choice centre back would be an adequate replacement for Guehi - our Captain and an established England international. Just who would do that - think that was acceptable - it’s absolutely mind boggling and non-sensical.

I called this scenario - what 2 months ago when I created the thread “time to start doing business Steve” because I have seen and we have all witnessed SP’s history of procrastination in transfer windows - people said I was talking rubbish and still 2 months in the window, SP has a plan, greatest Chairman ever - da de da..

Now look where we are - now tell me I was wrong..!!

SP has no plan, no strategy and based upon today - no idea..!!

Look SP been great for us, no-one can deny that - but I think today proves his race is run and time done - it’s time to move on..!!

There’s clearly an issue with SP not having the financial resources of the other owners and thats costing and hurting us and that needs to be resolved..!!

If you’re Blitzer, Harris and Johnson - what would be making of the today and the underlying strategy of how the club is being run - from where I sit it looks pretty incompetent to me..!!

All this on top of winning the FA Cup, Community Shield and a great performance yesterday - I was ecstatic yesterday - Guehi must be staying, Pino looked great, Uche and Canvot appear to be very solid signings..!!

Job almost done - just maybe a centre mid - Gallagher on a cheeky loan..!!

But no - all that elation swept away by SP trying to replace Guehi with Brighton’s 5th choice centre back - you couldn’t make it up..!!

It’s like we take 2 steps forward and 5 back - absolutely unbelievable and frankly shambolic..!!

One issue with your sale of £70 mil to Newcastle last season. Guehi didn’t want to go. Now he can go to his preferred Liverpool now or with a huge bonus next summer.
