The BBC still peddling a line that everyone is a dangerous fascist

They’re not saying anything of the sort. They are reporting a householder being threatened by men tying flags to a lamppost outside his home. If someone did that outside my house I would remove them at the earliest opportunity. If I was then threatened I too would report the threats to the police and make sure the cctv security I have was functioning properly.

No further action after his alleged assault. A complete and utter set up which has spectacularly failed. Didn’t some on here have him hung drawn and quartered immediately after the story broke?
It failed because the alleged victim refused to give a statement so the CPS were unwilling to allow a prosecution. We don’t know why he refused. Anything else is mere speculation. It could have been a set up. It could have been fear. It could have been a gobby guy taunting YL and getting punched for doing so, who thought better about provoking him again.

Wisbelch claimed that the illegal migrants created a temporary need. Well this guy was offered £35,000 per month for his 26 bedroom hotel to house illegal migrants for 7 years. Yes, SEVEN YEARS. Does that sound temporary?

We only have one man’s word for that. A man who appears to have quite a large chip on his shoulder. I cannot see the home office placing a contract for 7 years! Potentially for 7 years perhaps. 26 bedrooms? 52 + people? Full board? £35,000 per month is about £22 per person per day. That’s a bargain.

Is 7 years temporary? Yes or no?

Bob is a gimp and it’s good to see the council leader in that part of Birmingham ignore him. If you lived in or near Birmingham you might understand how they’re feeling. But you don’t, you live in Cornwall lol. Not Wisbech. Cornwall.

Oh a bargain is it? Bring more over, where on a winner here....

He is absolutely wrong. Firstly they are asylum seekers. They don’t get given phones or iPads. They either get fed, or provided a minimum sum so they feed themselves waiting for their claim to be processed. They get a roof over their head.
They enter the country illegally, contrary to the Immigration Act 1971.
The vast majority are not asylum seekers. The miniscule number who might actually be fleeing from persecution are obliged to seek asylum in the first safe country that they enter. They would have travelled through several countries in the EU Utopia, ending in France. Although it is understandable that someone might want to flee from the French, France is a safe country.
They should receive no support whatsoever, they would then very quickly stop coming.

Dudley and Stourbridge are the Black Country. They won't like being called Birmingham. I lived in Kidderminster for years - probably the edge of the Black Country. I can remember it being the only place with a BNP council. There's a genuine fear of turning into Birmingham or Wolverhampton in those places. I'm sure you can imagine what I mean.

There is no yes or no! It depends on circumstances.

The government has committed to ending the use of hotels by 2029 having initially given 3 primary regional contracts to companies who then contract the hotels. The length of those contracts seem to generally extend to the 2029 cut off date, but can be cancelled with 3 months notice. I didn’t know any of that but did a little research. Although 2 years old this explains:-

Typical answer from you. That’s why you aren’t taken seriously.

As I understand it, from what has been written about other contracted hotels, that £35,000 per month is solely for the use of the hotel. They bring in their own contractors to cook, clean, repair and provide security, so that would be £35k with NO outgoings for staffing etc.

In the meantime how many tenants will move out following rent rises resulting from landlord taxes which will provide more accommodation for asylum seekers.

That's pure crazy. That just means rents go up and availability goes down. Half the Labour party are landlords though aren't they? Sounds like Reeves is Starmer's ally against Rayner - who just bought another home to rent out.
